Tuesday's agenda

I can't wait for tomorrow, guess what I get to do? LICE CHECKS! Why? A mother who is a nurse thinks they are necessary. She did offer to do them, but I am not the personality that would allow her to do them alone. The fear has been released, an email was sent and now we are in lice mode. SMH! Meanwhile, my son is almost lice free, I found nymphs (only 6) 10 days post initial treatment, just like I was expecting. Really people, it isn't a big deal!

Aspinulitis Syndrome:

Unlike Spinal Hypotrophy where the spine degenerates over time or Spinal Atrophy where the spine wastes away because of disuse or lack of exercise; Aspinulitis Syndrome is a condition where the spine of an administrator may completely disappear or may never had been there but only during extreme circumstances of inflammation. Inflammation flare-ups in an administrator is further described as a condition because of or related to parent pressure.

Why is administration allowing a mom, nurse or not, dictate whether or not you perform mass screenings? Do they allow parents to come in and tell the teachers they feel something is necessary in the classroom?

Because this is a private school. Parents make it run, pay to keep the doors open and lights on. Politics play a huge part of the private school life. I had talked them out of this before a parent who pays for lice service had her child affected. Then it became a huge issue. The major battle here is the sleepover culture, students even sleep over during school nights, it's huge. Try telling 30 somethings that their social experiments with their snowflakes is causing this.:banghead:

Ugh! I am so sorry you are dealing with this. Hopefully your day goes smoothly and everyone is "free and clear"

Hell, I don't know how to deal with hair either! I tend to just let their hair down, do the check and do a quick braid for them.

Okay, I guess I know how to do hair, but not that well. I don't get enough time to practice on little girl's hair. My own won't let me do her hair, so eh. So I end up having sloppy braids for the girls, but they like it I suppose. :/
