I have had the same stethescope since school. It's okay but time to upgrade. I work on a sub-acute rehab unit. I work with a diverse population many with cardiac issues. Would love some suggestions!! Thanks

What do you have now?

I had good luck with Prestige brand that was essentially the same as a Littman (med students were ****** that they spent so much after trying mine). Ran about 45.00 instead of 150.00.

much cheaper on amazon

I have a standard littman

I have littman master cardiology special edition and I love it! Bought at stethoscope.com, super nice engraving and it arrived in 2 days.

I bought a Littman for nursing school but now I work in the ICU and each pt gets their own stethoscope to prevent spread of infection. They are Prestige and are definitely comparable and less expensive than Littman.

There are some really good buys on eBay.

Mainly from wannabe nursing students that

washed out and fell by the wayside.

Most are brand new or hardly used because they were boneheads that didn't know how to use it. End result. Great stethoscopes for low prices. Go out and find the one you want. Go online. Do a simple search and place a bid.

Have fun...

I have a Littman Master Classic II that I bought off of allheart.com. It's lasted me about 8 years without a problem. Allheart.com is much cheaper than even amazon.com....not sure about factoring in shipping costs, though.

Allheart is great, but their shipping is awful. Every order I have had has been late, or backordered without notifying me. It's really a shame because they have good quality merchandise at reasonable prices.
