Took My NCLEX yesterday 75 Questions - Help?

Published

Hi, all my lovely nurses and nurses to be!

I took my NCLEX yesterday in California and finished with 75 questions. I would have not called it an easy test... at all.

I DID NOT get the good pop up on Pearson though, and that is making me freak out. I just don't see how I could have bombed the test SO BAD for it to have cut me off at 75? I have been a great student in school and know my stuff! Plus, the questions I was getting I would not consider them "easy" or "low level"

I am being patient, but I can't wrap my head around the principle: If you get 75 questions either you did extremeeeely horrible that the computer didn't think you'd pass even if it gave you more questions or you met the requirement to be a nurse within those 75 questions.

So not getting the good pop up on Pearson is making me think, how could I possibly have totally bombed this test; given all I know and how much I have studied and dedicated my time to nursing.

If it helps, the PearsonVue website is also having technical issues related to a storm in the country. But I would appreciate ANYBODY's advice/help regarding this. Has anyone ever not gotten the good pop up but still passed?

I think it is highly unlikely that you, a good student, would completely and miserably bomb. I took many years ago- no such thing as PeasonVue and I cut off at 75...passed. Good luck

Are you sure that you got a bad pop up? what it says when you submit payment?

And this is exactly why I wish the PVT would hurry up and go away. It is not official, it is not endorsed by Pearson Vue, it has been incorrect (as much as a glitch can be correct or incorrect), and everyone keeps worrying anyway. Wait for something official, know for sure, and instead of stressing yourself out, go enjoy something you haven't had time for when in school and studying.

I am still being patient... Breeze has not posted anything yet either. I took my test 47 hours ago. Nothing on Breeze

I have nothing on Breeze that says "Pending" or "Active"

I'm freaking out I have been in depression ever since I walked out of that testing center

When I did the trick, it immediately declined the card (no message saying "This person already has a test scheduled"

just declines the card

Hey! Hang in there. When I took the NCLEX I did the PVT trick and my card got declined at first. I was petrified but it turns out I was doing the trick wrong. You have to change your credit card info but only one thing at a time (either the number or the CVV code or the exp. date). I had changed all 3 and it said my credit card was invalid. Then I changed just the CVV code and got the "good" pop up. I had passed in 75 questions! You may have your results by the time I write and submit this post but I wish you the very best :)

I took my in December 11 . No result yet. Cut at 75 questions. I call today they say that result was sent in the mail yesterday . They did not want to tell me anything .

Hey hun! What does your Breeze account say? Do you have any license number or anything posted?

I'm HOPING that the PVT isnt working because they are having website issues.

I think I did it every way possible still got the declines message.

But the thing that SHOCKS me is 1. I don't think I could fail that terribly honestly for the computer to cut me off at 75

What kind of questions did you get? My questions were EKG, maybe about 15 SATA, a LOT delegation/priority, and I even got place in order questions

How long did it take for the Board to get your license info up?

I'm not an NCLEX expert by any means, but I got similar questions too. Tons of SATA, one EKG, tons of prioritization. I feel like the odds are in your favor. But if you fail, don't be discouraged. It would just be a bump in the road and I'm sure you will pass if you take it again. I'll have my fingers crossed for you though! I have a feeling you passed, so keep us updated!

I live in NY. Tested July 19th, got results the 21st, my license was on the NY BON site on July 27th! Every state is different and some are faster than others.
