Hi, all my lovely nurses and nurses to be!
I took my NCLEX yesterday in California and finished with 75 questions. I would have not called it an easy test... at all.
I DID NOT get the good pop up on Pearson though, and that is making me freak out. I just don't see how I could have bombed the test SO BAD for it to have cut me off at 75? I have been a great student in school and know my stuff! Plus, the questions I was getting I would not consider them "easy" or "low level"
I am being patient, but I can't wrap my head around the principle: If you get 75 questions either you did extremeeeely horrible that the computer didn't think you'd pass even if it gave you more questions or you met the requirement to be a nurse within those 75 questions.
So not getting the good pop up on Pearson is making me think, how could I possibly have totally bombed this test; given all I know and how much I have studied and dedicated my time to nursing.
If it helps, the PearsonVue website is also having technical issues related to a storm in the country. But I would appreciate ANYBODY's advice/help regarding this. Has anyone ever not gotten the good pop up but still passed?
I took my in December 11 . No result yet. Cut at 75 questions. I call today they say that result was sent in the mail yesterday . They did not want to tell me anything .When I did the trick, it immediately declined the card (no message saying "This person already has a test scheduled"
just declines the card
What does your Breeze account say? Is anything pending?
Hi there,
It shouldnve declined your card though, which usually means that you used a card that didn't have any funds in it!! I've used the Pearson trick in the past and what I did was used an active card with at least $1 on it and when I tried to process the Payment it said something like "insufficient funds"!! That's when you would know if you failed or not. Otherwise it would say something like"you've already registered for this test and another registration cannot be processed at this time". Which is the "good pop up". So I'm not sure if you did the Pearson trick correctly!! But it's known to be wrong in the past . I've had people get a bad pop up and later found out that they've passed and vice versa!! So don't give up and keep your fingers crossed!!! But overall, how was the exam?? Why do you think that you didn't pass???
Honestly, I thought it was a difficult exam but once it cut off at 75 I knew there was no way that I could have failed.
The reason I think I failed is because the PearsonVue trick didn't work. Not once did I get the pop up that says "This person has already registered"
That is what makes me think I failed
