Took My NCLEX (7-14)

*WHEW* That's all I can say, so glad it's over! I know I could sit here and tell you how I feel about it, but it's the exact same stuff that everyone else has posted!! Even after reading people post "I feel like I failed, I just know I failed!", and then 2 days later saying "I PASSED!" ..... even though I know that, I still feel like I failed the dang thing!

I got about 9 hours of sleep last night, slept great. Woke up and had a nice big brunch. Got to the testing center an hour early and wasn't even really nervous, I was just ready to go take the test. I thought I was doing pretty well at first ..... wasn't too bad, was getting harder and I was getting priority questions/select all that apply ...... I thought for sure it'd shut off at 75 (I was hoping it would), but nope. It didn't shut off until about 187 or 188  I was just so glad it was finally over! After it kept going I thought for sure I was in for the whole 265. It just kept going and going, a couple times I got really anxious and almost started crying, but I just closed my eyes and made myself focus, said a little prayer and continued with it.

I've read SO MANY people on here (the majority) post about getting 75. But I know I can still pass with 188, so I'm not giving up hope yet.

First thing I said when I got home was *man I need a margarita!!* :chuckle So we went out to dinner and I'm just trying to relax and enjoy the fact that it's over.

congratulations!!!! great news!!! :balloons: :balloons:

Thank you all so much!!! :)

alliecat - I was just fortunate that my BON posted it so early, I don't think that's the norm. Pearson Vue said they'd have the quick results available 48 hours after my test (which would be tomorrow afternoon), I really wasn't expecting it to show up this soon. Just keep checking your state BON site and it might show up early for you too. Just because you don't know how you did doesn't mean you failed ..... I had NO idea how I did either! I walked out of the test center and honestly had no clue as to whether I passed or failed ..... all I knew that I was glad that it was over! I'm sure you passed, I hope you can get the results really soon!

Thanks for the encouragement. i have been obsessed with checking the computer. i didn't feel like this yesterday as much as i do now as each hour passes i feel worse. ill let you know how it goes. thanks

It was over too soon - I walked in early and got started with the actual test at 1:45 - I was cruising along - questions were quite difficult - I felt - I looked down at the corner - 74 questions - I'm thinking - OK - you are prepared to do all 265 - did #75 AND THE DANGED COMPUTER SHUTS DOWN! I wanted to jump up and down and say NO - I'M NOT DONE!

I felt confident when I walked in - very serene - my husband even said that he had never seen me so at ease. I walked out and started crying. Another girl that started 5 minutes before me walked out right behind me - we both said - "OMG - what happened in there - are we stupid - did we forget everything we learned"

Man - well, it's over - and whatever happens - happens!

Thank you, Suzy!!

alliecat - I hope you can find out soon, let us know!

Cheryl - I was really calm and at ease when I went in there too, it surprised me at how calm I was. I thought I would be freaking out at that point, but I wasn't. When I got to about question 65 I started getting nervous, hoping it would shut off at 75. But it didn't. Like so many people say, the number of questions you get doesn't matter. I hope you can find out soon!

Thank you Jen! Thank you for all your encouragement. I know you'll do just fine on the 26th!

Cheryl, what state are you in? If your state participates in the quick results then you can find out through the pearson vue website in 48 hours from your test. Find out if it's available for your state. For me I got done with my test at about 6 pm on Thurs. I found out on my state BON website Fri. morning at 8:30 am that I passed because my name and RN license number showed up. So for me it was about 14 hours .... like I said, that's not the norm. Some people have to wait a few days, some a few weeks .... we really can't tell you when you'll know. Either see if your state has quick results or call your state BON. Good luck to you, I hope you can find out soon :)
