This was a trick I learned while a CNA in a nursing home - old time aides taught this one to me - and I was just talking with a nurse the other night that worked as an aide while she was in school - and she did it too!

it's been exactly 48 hours since my test - i just wrote a post complaining about the fact that i haven't gotten my results on pearson vue - and i just checked again - i passed - i passed - i did it in 75 questions and i passed! :rotfl: (whew - no that i have that out of my system - i think i will pass out) - omg - i passed (yes i had to say it once again). cheryl, rn (so nice)

Sounds like we took the exact same test - have you got your results yet? I am sitting on pins and needles just waiting - rather computer obsessive - keep checking the pearson vue site - am in NY - so supposed to have quick results - but it's been 48 hours since machine shut down - so I don't know! It was over too soon - I walked in early and got started with the actual test at 1:45 - I was cruising along - questions were quite difficult - I felt - I looked down at the corner - 74 questions - I'm thinking - OK - you are prepared to do all 265 - did #75 AND THE DANGED COMPUTER SHUTS DOWN! I wanted to jump up and down and say NO - I'M NOT DONE! I felt confident when I walked in - very serene - my husband even said that he had never seen me so at ease. I walked out and started crying. Another girl that started 5 minutes before me walked out right behind me - we both said - "OMG - what happened in there - are we stupid - did we forget everything we learned" Man - well, it's over - and whatever happens - happens! :uhoh21: i have been working since i graduated as a graduate nurse, so i haven't had the time i feel that i needed to study. be that as it may, i am taking my boards this friday. i have been told that the longer you wait, the better your chances are of failing. i have to work 10 hour days right up to thursday. i was a good student in school, but i lack self-confidence. any words of wisdom? what should i be looking at right now? when do i stop studying and how do i get over this procrastination/easily distracted frame of mind that i am in? my husband keeps telling me that i will do fine, i do hope he is right! any encouragement would be appreciated. cheryl
