Too Many Geographic Threads in the Pre-Nursing Student Forum!

So it appears that I am on my way out of the pre-nursing forum, which has been a regular favorite of mine, since I am now on the verge of beginning a nursing program and will likely be more involved in the general nursing student forum. However, as much as I would love to continue reading the threads on here and helping people who are where I was a year or two ago, there are just too many threads on here that involve discussions for local schools in various locations. Shouldn't these be moved into their respective state's nursing program forums? It's becoming a hassle to wade through these to read the legitimately posted threads for pre-nursing of general global interest. With that, I will have to sadly un-favorite this thread. I will periodically peek in though, but not as often as I have since the beginning.

Good luck to everyone muddling through prereqs and applications!

I'd give you a million kudos if I could, Paco69.

agreed. there are specificities to different regions and it would be nice if they were a bit more separated.

i think thats the point paco69 was trying to make, those posts the cover geo questions should be in specific state forums.

is it possiable to add "note: when posting about a specific nursing program, please post in the appropriate state forum where the program is located." to the top of the pre-nursing page. the general nursing student page has this and moderates for specific program information, moving geo related posts to the appropriate state page.

I agree.

That's one thing I've noticed since joining this forum.

Hope it gets changed :)

thanks! this was exactly my point. i see more threads in here specific to schools than i do threads with issues that apply to all pre-nursing students irrespective of location. threads that are titled about specific programs should be moved to the specific state forums. this forum is just overflowing now with more of these than the generic threads about prereqs, teas or general applying-to-school questions.
