tired of waiting on acceptance letter!!!

yea, but final grades posted about two to three days after classes ended for the summer, because prof. have to get those grades in. at my school they had 3 application turn in dates, the last one was sept.30th and we only had about 170 students apply for 120 spots. so i don't know i guess the end of oct. sounds about right, just tired of things being put on hold and saying "i gotta wait to see if i get acepted to nursing school". by the way hope u get accepted somewhere close, having to move within a week's notice would suck

Hey Lunden where did you hear that 170 students applied. If that's true Wow that will mean that everyone would get accepted, because they also select 10-20 alternates for the fall semester. Did you also take in consideration those who reapplied, because I reapplied and didnot have to attend an application meeting I just had to turn in my updates to the nursing office before September 30th. Just look at it like this they start reviewing files the day after the last application meeting, which was September 30th. So It's been a little over a week. Next Tuesday on October 14th will be two weeks. It took them about 3 weeks this summer to send out letters. They mailed them on different days. Those students who got accepted received their letters around June 29th or 30th. The last application meeting for Fall was May 29th. Those who didn't get in got their letters around July 2 or 3rd right before 4th of July. Hope this helps! We will just keep talking on allnurses to help us kill some time. Maybe were just excited because we know we got in. Good Luck!

true that!!! i was going off an estimated figure, i 4got about the students that were reapplying and did not have 2 attend any app. meetings.

I am going to submit my application next week and I am already tired of waiting. The program naturally requires the decisions to wait until the grades for this semester are submitted but, I understand the letters are received only two days before Christmas!!! I am hoping I get a really, really great Christmas present this year ; )

No kidding, this is nuts. I should get a reply by the end of this month. All I've done is eat, sleep, and sob.

Although I know I tried my hardest to get good grades. I have a good GPA, but Im competing against 400 other applicants. OOPH

I'm still waiting too. The deadline was September 15, and letters are supposed to be mailed out 2-4 weeks from the deadline. Mine should come any day now.

Hi everyone! I am waiting with you guys too. The school that I applied to pushed back the deadline to September 29th instead of September 15th and still kept the same 6-8 weeks to hear if you got in :banghead: Going back through old posts if you didn't get in you would have at least received a rejection letter by mid October. Oh well, I'll just sit here and play the waiting game with you guys. Let's all post when we get our letters :lol2: :lol2: :lol2: Crossing fingers for all of us. Good luck you guys :yeah: :up:

This waiting is killing me. I dont want to go out, I dont have to hang out with friends. Im just too anxious. I have friends in the different levels of the RN program at my school, and they say I'll get in. DO they know something I don't? LOL We'll be fine ladies...we are all going to get into our programs. It's just a waiting game for now. Let's try to focus on what needs to be done before we begin...ie, inoculations? CPR certification, fingerprinting and so on. WE're going to be positive and just wait. Dammit, we're gonna be nurses, we'll have toughter situations to get through. DOes that sound convincing?

ha ha ha was all i could think of after reading your post:chuckle but the waiting does kind of make u wanna go co co for coco puffs:bugeyes: i woke up this morning like damn still 3 more weeks before hearing something!!! i swear oct. is dragging it's ass this year. did i get in, did i get in did i get in? see, i gotta go take my medication:lol2:

I'm so glad to hear that I am not the only person losing my mind. I can't sleep, can't really focus on my classes like I need tooo etc... This time waiting is killing me more than it was the first time I waited. October is going pretty quick to me though. Next Monday is Ocotober 20th. I just really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really trying to be patient while waiting. But gosh I really need to keep my mind on something else. Even when I go to work I keep calling home asking has the mail run yet? Did I get anything? Is it from my school? Who is it from? Wow I feel like a crazy woman.
