  1. Hi, I'm doing an assignment where /i have to turn in a complete health history for someone and there are a couple of places on this assignment that I have no idea what to write. It asks about the physical environment and the psychosocial environment. These are the two areas that were not talked about in my book and I don't know what questions to ask or what to write in this area. Also, for the characteristic patterns of daily living do I just ask what their daily routine is or is there something I need to ask/ write here? Any feedback would be of great help!! Thank you!!
  2. I wouldn't recommend it. I'm in there now and find it very frustrating. When I turn in assignments it takes over 3 months to get them graded which puts you out because if you get any points off you're left wondering what it is that you got counted off for. Not only that, but when you have questions the teacher replies with, "I'll look into that", and 4 months later....still no reply. Anyway, it's very discouraging to get any work done when you never see the progress from grading. All in all, I would say if you have any other options to take those first. I wish I would have known what I do and I would have just gone for the ADN at the junior college.
  3. Elle, if you would like to talk to someone about the program at the school, then contact **** ******. Make sure when you call you have all your questions ready.:)
  4. Hi College Mom, I messaged you through the email function of the study lounge on webct. Thanks for the post.:)
  5. From what I have heard some semesters they don't have enough people applying to turn anyone away, which works out nicely. :) If you have any questions feel free to ask once I find out myself, lol.
  6. The school I go to teaches Anatomy separate from Physiology. I found Anatomy to be pretty easy when you invest the time. I took Anatomy with Chemistry and was happy I didn't take on a bigger course load. It gave me time to focus on the class. I found it really helpful for me to make copies of the drawings in Anatomy book, cut them out without the labels, and post them onto the big index cards. I would them label the structures a,b,c, etc. and on the back of the index card I would write what each letter was. This helped me tremendously especially in the lab tests.
  7. :ancong!: to everyone who has made it!!! I can finally say that I know how you all feel!!! I'm excited, but definitely nervous!!! Congrats All!
  8. Hi, I finally got my acceptance letter to the eLine program for TAMUCC for Spring '09. I would love to talk to anyone else accepted or who has been through this process. I would really like to know how the first semester went; I'm a little apprehensive.
  9. I'm going CRAZY right now. I am taking the last of my prerequisites right now (Pathophysiology, Microbiology, and Physiology). I am making A's in every class except for Physiology. I received my second test back today and found out I made a 50! I don't know what to do; I mean I'm not stupid and I understand the class very well, but when I take her tests they seem to be nothing like what the book has taught nor is it anything like her review sheet. I study for this class more than any other, read every chapter before the lecture, do the review sheet which are 6 pages long, and study all the time. She says her testing style is critical thinking, but the questions just don't make sense. If there's anyone out there who has had a good experience with this class and this kind of testing syle, please, please help me out. I will be so appreciative. By the way, dropping is something I will not do unless absolutely necessary. I say this because I already applied for Nursing School and should be starting in the Spring and the fact that I live off student loans and am already so much in debt that I can't afford another semester of not being in the program. Thank you for your time!
  10. So, I took taodepooh's advice and went on my school's website and came up with the following information. Does anyone know if this means I am in? Please, I am dying to know... 11. Wow, I don't feel so bad now, lol. Waiting is definitely the hardest thing to do thus far :wink2:
  12. I applied to nursing school about four months ago and seems like forever and a day waiting Hopefully I'll have some good news by the end of this month!!! Where: TAMU-CC eLine GPA: 3.75 in the prereqs. Deadline: Sept. 15? I think. Acceptance Letters: Soon, but not soon enough, lol
  13. A friend of mine has so so credit and had his mother cosign on his loan and was denied quite a few times. I too applied for a loan (I have really good credit) and one student loan company in particular had me jumping through so many hoops, I finally turned to a different company. Although I got a loan, my interest rate was like 13%! I am so scared to that I'm going to be paying off these loans for the rest of my life.

Does anyone know if private loans are forgiven? All I have are private loans, but now that I am taken off my parents income tax returns I can start applying for Federal Aid. If they don't accept private loans, please let me know. Thank you!
  15. Hi, I am a student planning on going into the Nursing Program. Nursing is something that I am very passionate about, but right now I'm feeling so overwhelmed. I am currently enrolled in the last of my prerequisites: Microbiology, Physiology, and Pathophysiology. I feel like this semester I am just so mentally exhausted and when ever I am not studying or in class, I am sleeping. My question is this, when I do become a nurse, do you believe the work will be as mentally exhausting as I am feeling right now. I know that you're not me and only I will know when that day comes around, but I would like some insight into what your days consist of and how you feel at the end of your shift. Any insight into this is much appreciated. Thank you!:imbar
