tired of waiting on acceptance letter!!!

Published

just curious, who else is waiting on acceptance for spring 09. i'm enrolled at wcccd two days ago they were still reviewing files!!!! they said the end of oct. at the latest. this wait is horrible!!!:crying2::banghead::eek:

you're on top of things sillyrabbit. i to need to make sure i can use my CPR card supplied by my job. i just had a tetorifice shot (stepped on a needle and it was stuck in my big toe-ouch) i would have to schedule an app. for a physical and find out when the next tb shots are due, because i get those at my job as well. so it sounds like we are on our way!!

Hey Lunden if your CPR card is a healthcare provided one than you can use that. Is your toe O.K. now sounds very painful. I suggest a couple more weeks and we would know something, so I'm just trying to stay focused on the classes I have now. So excited that's it's almost November not long before the semester ends. Hippie!

yea, i had to go under the knife just to get it out. i'm tempted to call the nursing office, but i think i'll wait until next week to

actually call. well at least basketball is on tonight and "saw 5" comes out this weekend, that will keep me busy til next week. oh i gotta get the house in order.

At my school, for the program starting in June, we applied in December and found out in late February. Anyone below a 3.32 was waitlisted and 3.30 ended up getting in.

thanks for the info.our deadline for spring 09 was sept. 30th and were still waiting. so it seems like it'll be the 1st part of nov.

I am not downplaying any of you guys frustration, anticipation, discouragement, or anger...I understand as I was in the exact same boat in fall 06'. It took FOREVER for them to get back with me and when they did send a letter it was to inform me that I had been placed on a waiting list...A waiting list are you kidding me with a 3.8 GPA they put ME on a waiting list...Many factors will go into the desicion. How many slots are available, who was on a waiting list before you, Not only your overall GPA but your science GPA as well, how many classes have you dropped, etc. etc. etc. I am a Sr. year nursing student and I still don't understand the selection process. To me it seemed as if they were trying to see how many hoops that you were willing to jump through. The time that it is taking to wait on your letter you guys should prepare yourself as if you were ALREADY ACCEPTED. find out what the programs guidlines are, make sure your physicals, immunizations, TB, CPR certification are all current. Organize your time, and make preperations because when you do get your acceptance letter (As each and every one of you will) you will hit the ground with both feet running and you will not be working with a whole lot of time for preperation; and this will be the case until your graduation day. You will stay busy, you will stay running around like a crazed madman, you will not have alot of "self" time, and you will be in a state of sleep deprivation until graduation. SO prepare yourselves and Good Luck to each and everyone of you....

thank you. i have been studying med. math, and mentally preparing myself. my CPR card is good until 2010, tb test and other test i get from work. i would just have 2 get a physical. thanks 4 the info and goodluck 2 u as well.
