just curious, who else is waiting on acceptance for spring 09. i'm enrolled at wcccd two days ago they were still reviewing files!!!! they said the end of oct. at the latest. this wait is horrible!!!:crying2::banghead::eek:

Congrats sunnsand! :yeah::balloons:

When did you submit your application?

Thanks AZMOMO2! My school only has one application period for both fall and spring programs and it was way back in Feb. Fall applicants got notified back in May. It was a huge weight off my shoulders to finally get an answer - especially the answer I wanted!

I hope you hear something soon, best of luck!

Hello out there well today is October 20th shouldn't be much longer before we hear from WCCCD. I am still a nervous wreak because something is telling me they are going to take there time sending letters since they have until January in all. I really hope not considering when we get in we will have to get a physical, CPR training, Immunizations or titiers, and a TB test before orientation. I know when my friends got in this past Fall they had a month or so to get all of that done before orientation even the one that was an alternate. Well I'm just trying to keep up conversation while we wait. Good Luck again to all.

I'm with sillyrabbit, lunden and all the other WCCCD waiters.. man I'm going nuts... they need to send the out asap. i think I've read just about all the allnurses.com post just to keep busy lol.

hey sillyrabbit, i'm looking at next week at the latest. but def. before thanksgiving. but i'm really really hoping it's next week. i want to let my supervisor know upon getting accepted that i will be doing a 2 week notice, as my husband informed me last night that i wouldn't have to work while in nursing school. it's like the days are just inching by, but slowly but surely we are getting there

i know me too. i've been going over old post from years ago, like right now it's 7 and i need to get my butt in there and cook.

Hi Lunden, I was thinking the same thing at least by the end of next week. This pass summer people got their letters on a Saturady all those that got in that was. The poeple who didn't get in got letters on that following Tuesday. So I figured that they'll send out all the letters for people who got in and alternates first and those who didn't last. I been doing homework like crazy but at the same time I can't focus either. Ugh.....

I recommend getting the titiers and CPR done now as the titiers are good forever and a good place to start. Since CPR is good for two years now is a good time to get that done too. Why spend all that time running around like crazy if you don't have to at the last minute? When you get in you'll want to spend all your time getting your books, all the little odds and ends you'll need and the money together for school. Sometimes the money part takes as much running around. If you can sched. the physical too I would do that. Just incase you have the type of doc like I do and a wait to get in there.

Good luck and I hope you hear soon. :D

I'm waiting too and thinking the same things!!!! Our school was waiting for the grades to come in from the Fall first 8 week session, which ended last Friday. I am hoping they get letters out in the next few days. I want to begin buying books and my PDA and my new rolling book pack.....

Oh yes, I should also concentrate on finishing well in the classes I am still taking, but getting ready for nursing school to begin is SO MUCH MORE FUN! :D

yea i have been doing some med math to freshen up.

I got in!!!!! I received a phone call from my school to let me know I have been accepted into the Spring 09 nursing program - I feel so relieved, I don't even know what to do with myself! Best of luck to everyone else who is waiting, I hope you all are accepted into your programs!:yeah:

Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:D

Hi AZMOMO2 that's good advice and I was thinking the same thing. So that's why I got my Tetorifice and Diphteria shot on 9/22, My CPR card is good until October 2009. I have to do CPR Cert. for my job every two years. I have an appointment to get my physical on halloween. I had my friend who got into WCCCD's program this fall to get me a physical form from the nursing office. I had titiers drawn 7 years ago so I called the nursing office to verify if those will be good enough. TB testing will be due at my job in January so I should be all set. My only concern is if I do all this and don't get in, but I want think that way. I just wanted to remind everyone else what we would have to do when we get in. Thanks for your input and Good Luck to you also. I love the support on this site. :nurse:

you're on top of things sillyrabbit. i to need to make sure i can use my CPR card supplied by my job. i just had a tetorifice shot (stepped on a needle and it was stuck in my big toe-ouch) i would have to schedule an app. for a physical and find out when the next tb shots are due, because i get those at my job as well. so it sounds like we are on our way!!
