This week, I have learned..... (6/13)

Published

1. That I can get sucked into this place for entire days at a time when I'm sick, off, and in an empty, quiet house.

2. When I have an electrolyte imbalance, my heart goes into trigeminy and I have seizures (not scary tonic clonic ones, so not as scary as that sounds).

3. Throwing up a potato when you are dehydrated is seriously horrible.

4. Wounds can smell THAT bad.

5. Then the next day they can smell worse.

You?

This past weekend, I re-learned that I am only one person, and sometimes, though I'll try my best...I can't do all the work or the work of 2-3-4 people.

That you'll work 16 hours one day (yay, overtime :)) and asked to work "extra tomorrow" then called off for low census not 72 hours later...

I am sure your have many more good attributes compared to bad!

Thanks you. No, I know. I just thought I was better than I am. Gotta work on it. It will ultimately be good.

I learned that you can lose both managers to your LTC in one week.

I learnt that you can learn some things even from doctors you wouldn't trust to take care of a houseplant, let alone you or your loved one. He said it's the good providers that make mistakes and get hammered for it while the rotten providers do worse and get away with it. He didn't know he was talking about himself because his ass is still employed.

Procrastination

I learned that once you accept one job offer and start orientation that just about every other job you applied for want to offer you a position with better wages....what the what? And then you wonder.....should I stay or should I go? Hehehehe

But what a lovely problem to have. :)

I seriously LMAO at the potato-vomiting discussion at the beginning of this thread.

What about when you vomit spaghetti and there's a piece lodged in your nose

If you go there will be trouble. If you stay there will be double. Seems a total no-brainer to me.

I glad my misery could bring humor to your world. lol

I forgot to mention I confirmed I have a tick bite allergy. Didn't even know it was possible. Believe me - it is, and no amount of Benadryl or cortisone appears to reduce the horrible itching. Which brings me to my other confirmed allergy - Benadryl cream.

Faaaaantastic. I will take vomit potato over tick itch any day. I have one tick bite between my toes and another right next to my nether regions.
