QuoteThe abortion law builds on legislation passed in 2010 that represented a major shift for a traditionally Catholic country, transforming Spain into one of the most progressive countries in Europe on reproductive rights. Spain's constitutional court last week rejected a challenge by the right-wing Popular Party against allowing abortions in the first 14 weeks of pregnancy.
The debate will be heated in Spain, I imagine, as the conservative opposition pushes back. My daughter had horrible menstrual pain during her adolescence and young adulthood. I'm certain that she would have benefitted from that time.
Crusades said:Is "project 2025" a new Democrat buzz word? LOL
Actually it's a conservative "buzz word". LOL
QuoteThe plan is called Project 2025 — a collection of policy transition proposals that outline how, should Trump win the November election, he can vastly remake the federal government most effectively to carry out an extremist far-right agenda.
"It is not enough for conservatives to win elections,” the project's website states. "If we are going to rescue the country from the grip of the radical Left, we need both a governing agenda and the right people in place, ready to carry this agenda out on day one of the next conservative administration. This is the goal of the 2025 Presidential Transition Project.”

To be fair, it's not widely known. Whenever I hear of something I don't know about, I'll search for it and usually can find out. Project 2025 is quite easily found on Google.
Even so, maybe Crusades knows what it is and still thinks it's being used by Democrats as a "buzzword". It's not.

If it wasn't for it being mentioned here a few times, I still wouldn't have heard of it.

Well this certainly creates uncertainties in the realm of regulation for our safety.

Give it time, you might hear about it elsewhere.
Not sure where I first learned of it. Like I said, it's not something that's been widely known until recently. I don't think it's necessarily endorsed by Trump, moreso his donors and other influencers. Trump will do his own thing.
It has been getting more publicity lately, partly in thanks to Democrats and other news organizations as the election gets closer and the race gets tighter. There were articles in Newsweeks, Buzzfeed, the Guardian, MSNBC and Forbes and pretty much everywhere.
While I'll stop short of calling it a "Democrat Buzzword LOL" it does seem to be getting a lot of attention.
MSNBC wrote about it a couple of weeks ago.
QuoteLast week, a group of House Democrats launched a task force to combat Project 2025, a blueprint for Trump's presidency, should he win in November, put together by conservative groups. Led by the Heritage Foundation with the support of over 100 other right-wing organizations, the far-right tome is a chilling roadmap for the subversion of checks and balances, the creation of new authoritarianpresidential powers, and the empowerment of political appointees to Christianize the federal government.
The Forbes article was just yesterday: "Project 2025 Is A Blueprint For Business Disaster"
Apparently it was mentioned at the BET event the other day.
QuoteSuddenly it seems like you can't turn anywhere without hearing someone talk about "Project 2025."
Part of the interest comes in thanks to the incredible Taraji P. Henson, who took 30 seconds of time during the BET Awards on Sunday, June 30, to tell people it's "time for us to play chess, not checkers" when it came to making decisions that will affect us all.

BBC wrote an article a couple of weeks ago.
QuoteBut on Tuesday, California congressman Jared Huffman announced a Stop Project 2025 Task Force.
Mr Huffman said: "Project 2025 is more than an idea, it's a dystopian plot that's already in motion to dismantle our democratic institutions, abolish checks and balances, chip away at church-state separation, and impose a far-right agenda that infringes on basic liberties and violates public will.

It's simply policy ideas proposed by one think tank. Liberal think tanks do the same.
Yes, it's everywhere if you Google it. Most is fear-mongering by articles and talking heads in the past few days.
Even though I only consume right wing propagandist media, I hadn't heard of it until that fear mongering was parroted here. It seems it's not getting much traction on the conservative side.
Some of those ideas would never make it because they're too right wing and/or would be legally challenged.
Some of them are great ideas.

You didn't have to mansplain it to me, I understood all of that. But I appreciate you putting your opinion about it out there.
Right wing media like Breibart reported it when it came out and recently reported on the Democrat response.

Which of the plan would be considered great ideas? Can you imagine why Americans might be concerned about Project 2025?
Beerman got me thinking about progressive think tanks and agenda.
Found this, but I think it's on a congressional level, but going to dig. If anyone knows of something similar to Project 2025, I'd like to see it. I'm sure it's out there.
Fear mongering would be "socialism" "open borders" "abortion at any stage up to birth", etc.
