QuoteThe abortion law builds on legislation passed in 2010 that represented a major shift for a traditionally Catholic country, transforming Spain into one of the most progressive countries in Europe on reproductive rights. Spain's constitutional court last week rejected a challenge by the right-wing Popular Party against allowing abortions in the first 14 weeks of pregnancy.
The debate will be heated in Spain, I imagine, as the conservative opposition pushes back. My daughter had horrible menstrual pain during her adolescence and young adulthood. I'm certain that she would have benefitted from that time.

Smartmatic has had a sketchy history. They may have a tough time convincing a court that Fox damaged them and thst they deserve $2 billion, if anything. What does an alleged bribery in the Phillipines have to do with an American election.
Do you mean like Dominion lost? This bribery accusation is coming out of the Trump DOJ and has nothing to do with lying Fox. Do you think this might be a politically motivated investigation? Even if they are proven guilty, it doesn't change the history of Fox's behavior since Fox isn't accusing them of bribery. The karma circles are overlapping here. Fox lies about voting machines while Trump just wants to get rid of them. I wonder if he wants us to walk around with black fingers to prove that we have voted. I can't testify about anyone else's voting machines but here in my country, votes are not on the internet. We use tabulators and it's an extremly long day. It's getting harder to get people to volunteer for in-person and well as mail-in voting. I don't know any other entity that could count the votes as quickly as we do....except TikTok.

We have lost a small number of tourists at our National Lakeshore Park. It's carry in and carry out so I think some people don't want to carry their own urine and poop out in containers. There is no one to care for the sanitary facilities that the park has. However, the park is now charging $300 dollars per touron rescue when they walk down the last dune to the lake but can't make it back up. We have many people who disobey the signs with warnings so there will be plenty of rope rescues and a new way to collect revenue.

It will be interesting how they could ever weasel out of this one since they admitted their guilt in their previous and their previous cry of We're not the news; we're infotainment won't be challenged. I doubt the judge will give them more than the $978 million they got from the last case, but a girl can hope that they get the full $2 billion.
What exactly are you hoping to watch on TV? The judge and law clerks doing research. There isn't even a trial date set.
The most likely outcome is that the case will be settled without any trial.

My point was that Smartmatic has a much sketchier history than Dominion. In this defamation case, it has to be proven that damages were incurred due to the actions of Fox. It's harder to damage the reputation of an entity that already has a bad one.
Also, they havent been a profitable company for quite sometime. Difficult to prove that Fox caused an already failing business to suffer.
I'm not saying they don't have a case. But, they're not about to get what they're asking, which is close to $3 billion (I understated it earlier).

Well ... the National guard is essentially a militia operating under mostly military discipline. National Park staff is probably much less tractable as a group. Using the Guard is probably much more cost-efficient. What budget pays for the Guard? Defense? Military? Land Management?
After all, trump learned his business skills from his father and Roy Cohn (disbarred lawyer, closeted queer, died of AIDS). This is Union Busting 101.
Some people really think that this behavior shows exceptional ability and intelligence.
Go figure.

Which of your news sources leads you to believe that is the only thing the guard has been doing?
