so after the 4-long-day agonizing wait (in california), i found out this morning that i passed!!!!!!
this is the sweetest and greatest feeling in the world! all the hardwork paid off! the computer shut off @ 75 ?s. i got 17 satas, lots of prioritizations, lots of infection control, teaching, drag/drop, 2 calculations, and tons of meds. i was glad that the computer shut off at 75, otherwise i felt like i could've not handled it anymore. whew, i seriously thought that i failed. i can't imagine i'm saying this like everyone else but this exam is really crazy! it really tests you emotionally, physically, and mentally! you feel like a failure, depressed, miserable after the exam, but eventually knowing that you actually did okay. maybe they do that in purpose so that nurses would value their licenses even more..
well i just want to share some tips to those who are about to take the nclex. i was surfing this website for inspiration, support, and information, etc..so now it's my turn to share!
i recommend taking kaplan complete review. i found the decision tree strategies helped a lot.
these are the scores i got in the question trainers:
qt1 52%
qt2 61%
qt3 53%
qt4 60%
qt5 53%
qt6 61%
qt7 58%
and for the qbank, i got 62% overall.
i also recommend, the ncsbn learning extension. i subscribed for the 3-wk review and just did the q&a parts. i find nclex similar to this one because nclex is more one-liner questions (like this one).
most importantly, don't forget to get this book: "prioritization, delegation, assignment" by linda lacharity. i say that this book is the one that helped me the most because it focuses on prioritization and delegation questions. practice, practice, practice with the prioritizations!!!
so for those who are about to take the exam, hang in there and have faith! if i can do it, you can do it too!
good luck!!!

Thanks so much 4ever_heaven for sharing!!
I have the Kaplan testing strategies book and the kaplan trainer. I also have signed up for NCSBN site.
I hope to soon follow in your foot steps!!
Thanks again!!
4ever_heaven Did you do the Kaplan Review Online?
Yes, I did the complete review and that includes the 2-week classroom review, and online subscription of Qtrainers and QBanks. Oh I have that Kaplan Strategies book too! It also helps.

thank you sooo much for posting all that info! it made me feel sooo much more confident. i am also taking the comprehensive kaplan review (just took the readiness test today) and we have almost identical question trainer and q bank scores! i pray with all my heart i pass at 75 as well because i have adhd and staying focused for long periods of time is very difficult for me. thank you again for the encouragement and congrats!!!

how about the ncsbn learning ext?is it worth it?
Yes, I do recommend the NCSBN learning extension. I got the 3-week subscription and just did the Q&A parts and post-tests. I find it way easier than Kaplan though. Kaplan's questions are really ridiculously hard.
