My first save of the day. A stuck jacket. Student zipped up his jacket and the little flaps of material into the zipper.
Took about 7 minutes, but brute force and safety pins saved the day.
You know what... it's a half day, and the day before spring break. I'm not even mad. :)

Ohhhhhh... I think I was out that whole week!
oh, then you missed the amateur orthodontist module that parents expect that we took as well when their kid pops an archwire or displaces a ring.

And for the LOVE. OF. PETE.
If you are going to let your students play out in the mud after a monsoon, YOU can clean it up. It does not take a nursing license.
*Had to get that off muh chesht*
How did I ever pass the NCLEX without all those classes?

This is my 'Pete' Peeve - Teachers are supposed to be watching them at recess - But NOOOOO, they are huddled up talking to each other. Unless they are soaked; too bad so sad - off to class you go - take your dirt globs with you. NOT a nursing problem.
... and if you must clean your self off, don't do it in MY bathroom!! Lord knows I don't need that turned into a muddy mess.
The other day I had to search high and low for pants AND SHOES for 4 kids. I guess the principal finally caught on to my frustration because she sent out an email that kids were to stay out of the mud...still saw two more muddies after that.

I feel like such a failure already today! Broken glasses this morning, kid and 2 teachers standing around my desk when I looked at them to see if there was anything I could do. Frames twisted and broken, one teacher (young and clueless) is shocked that I couldn't perform that miracle repair, the other one(older and wisher of the two teachers, also married to a nurse so he gets it) was like "dude I told you she would tell you to take them home to show your parents"
