I confess to back pedaling into Trump territory when I wanted to leave discussions about him in the garbage can. My thread on the read-only break room site has 9,600 replies so I thought I'd bring up a new one.
He's not going away.
Haberman's book is out based on interviews. I won't read it, but the excerpts are interesting. Especially what he says about McConnell, a description that's against the Terms of Service here, but I actually don't disagree with. LOL
Quote“At one point, Trump made a candid admission that was as jarring as it was ultimately unsurprising. ‘The question I get asked more than any other question: “If you had it to do again, would you have done it?”’Trump said of running for president. ‘The answer is, yeah, I think so. Because here’s the way I look at it. I have so many rich friends and nobody knows who they are.’ … Reflecting on the meaning of having been president of the United States, his first impulse was not to mention public service, or what he felt he’d accomplished, only that it appeared to be a vehicle for fame, and that many experiences were only worth having if someone else envied them.”

Finally, the news media is questioning why the public has not been informed about the extent of Trump's injuries:

Quote"It's an understatement to say that it's bizarre that a presidential candidate has sustained an injury from an attempted assassination and no medical report is issued to describe his evaluation and the extent of his injury,” Jonathan Reiner, a professor of medicine and surgery at The George Washington University, wrote on the website X, formerly known as Twitter, on Thursday.

Dr. Sanjay Gupta: What the Trump team hasn't shared about his condition
Quote...A full public assessment of Trump's injuries is necessary, for both the former president's own health and the clarity it can provide for voters about the recovery of the man who could become president of the United States once again. The concern is that gunshot blasts near the head can cause injuries that aren't immediately noticeable, such as bleeding in or on the brain, damage to the inner ear or even psychological trauma. As a trauma neurosurgeon, I have seen how a thorough evaluation after any kind of gunshot wound can provide a complete picture and lead to a speedier recovery....

Too bad you didn't note that both women are LEGAL immigrants. Their children are just American citizens, nit "anchor babies".

It was quite obvious as the injury occured in real time, live on national television in front of 1000s of people LOL. Why is a medical analysis required for "laceration of the ear with partial tissue loss"? Kinda redundant.
If you are suggesting there is no wound and thus no Physician report because there is no injury? If so, there's a group you should check out it's called Quanon . You might find like minded folks there..... 🤔
QuoteEarly in his speech on Thursday night, as he accepted his party's presidential nomination at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee, it seemed Trump had bought into the carefully orchestrated effort to repackage him as a humbler, unifying figure, more palatable to swing voters who will be crucial to winning the Nov. 5 election.
QuoteTrump had told the Washington Examiner earlier in the week that he had torn up the original speech he planned to give in favor of one preaching national unity after his near brush with death.
And for the first few minutes of his speech, Trump sought to do that. He said he wanted to be a president for all Americans, including Democrats, and wanted to heal the divided country. He recounted in detail the attempt to assassinate him last Saturday, which he said deeply affected him, and spoke movingly of a supporter killed by the gunman.
Quote"In an age when our politics too often divide us, now is the time to remember that we are all fellow citizens," Trump said.
That new version of Trump lasted barely half an hour.
Then the Trump more familiar to Americans - the bombastic thrower of insults who revels in demonizing his opponents - re-emerged, trampling over the message of unity so painstakingly choreographed by the Republican National Committee this week.
QuoteUsing familiar hyperbolic and divisive language, he said illegal immigration to the United States was "the greatest invasion in history" and was leading to the deaths of hundreds of thousands of Americans every year, though neither claim is supported by any data.
He painted a dark picture of a crumbling America, a nation in decline, its cities crime-ridden and economically depressed, a staple image of his stump speech in which he presents himself as the country's savior.
There was a fascist authoritarian who rose to power in the early 20th century in Europe. He also gave speeches like Trump's, littered with lies and hyperbolic claims which disparaged the country he wanted to lead. That's a tactic used by fascists, Mussolini used it too.
Maybe Trump is unwell after the shooting. It's reported that he dozed off during the conven speeches. He looks tired. Maybe he isn't OK.

Fact-checking RNC speeches reveals falsehoods and unproven statements from Trump and others
QuoteMisinformation flowed in speeches about the economy, immigration and the southern border, crime, the perceived flaws of President Joe Biden, and the accomplishments of former President Donald Trump.

They are immigrants.
Correct they are American citizens. Your candidate has talked about ending birth right citizenship.

Sure.
It's normal to expect a briefing from the physician or team who treated the politician running for the presidency.
You know what else happened live on television with millions of people watching? That's right, the events of of 010621 and you misrepresent that all of the time.
No one here suggested there's no wound. No one here suggested there's no injury.
We've wondered why yet another normal expectation is ignored by Trump.
