Just a bit ago the top three threads involved:
1.I have a DWI. Can I be a nurse?
2.I am stupid. Can I be a nurse?
3.If it takes me five times to pass NCLEX, Can I be nurse.
Not much left to add. Says it all.
Back when I took the NCLEX, I had to wait two days for my results. Which of course, stressful as it is, was nothing compared to people that had to wait months back before me. So I didn't whine about two days. The whole PVT thing? PV needs to just block everyone for 72 hours or whatever. ESPECIALLY if they're going to get COMPLAINTS that the PVT doesn't work.
I used to love FarmTown, and took advantage of glitches in the system that serious FTers knew about. But the #1 rule of FarmTown back then? DON'T PUBLICIZE THE GLITCHES!! Because then they get taken away. And you sure didn't complain if the glitch didn't work "right."

FarmTown?
Like FarmVille, but on paper? Kinda like how we played World of Warcraft when I was a kid, except it was on paper and using dice, and we called it Dungeons and Dragons?

Ah, D&D, those were the days! We even had a "Clue Bus" the DM could summon to magically get us back on track. Come to think of it, I'd like to have one of those at work. Would that make me a bully?
Our 13 year old just started playing D&D with several of his friends...apparently there's even an app you can get instead of using real dice. He's been playing WoW since he was six and gets a kick out of doing it old school. We also have a 5 year old who, when asked what the rule is after killing a mob on WoW, enthusiastically yells "Always loot the bodies!" (We might not be the best parents in the world, but I figure there's way worse things than raising geeky gamers.)
Ugh, I love the new grad in that thread that has a history of thinking she knows more than everyone else has already made plans for when she's a manager. Of course, it has nothing to do with her know-it-all attitude that she will experience "bullying" and "lateral violence" but instead it will be all because of all the biter nurses that don't understand how much smarter she is.
wooh, just to make your day....check out some of the other posts of the "fledging nurse manager".....and I think she's a he.....this poster has had something to say to everyone about everything in the past....and he is a student...at least he was recently....but "has a degree in some sort of management" and has been a manager of a Fortune 500 company (or so he would like you to think)
Warning....if you seek out these past posts...make sure you have whatever you need..
ie depends, or blood pressure meds, or an antiemetic of some sort.
I am working on a reciepe book of "How to Eat Your Young".I think it will be a big success.
I have receipes about roasting them, frying them, making casseroles, and of course, every nurses favourite - left overs that can be brought to work the next day and eaten on the go!
(receipe doesn't look right to me, but spell check seems to like it?? But I suspect I must be using spell check incorrectly as it accepted the Canadian spelling of favourite)( yes - I have spelling issues!)
Please include a section on grilling the fresh meat. New nurses covered in BBQ sauce...yum!
an afterthought...had originally started typing this on the Satanic thread, but since that's likely to close and since I don't particularly want nosiebodies searching key words...here's a thought: since we know that the Diabetic Coma in a Glass (we'll stick with the name?) is actually triple sec and watermelon-strawberry Kool-Aid, perhaps it should be on the rocks?
???

IMHO, you're going to need more than that. You'll need pain killers after you get done beating your head against the wall.

I LIKE EVEN NUMBERS!
Okay, I'll stop now! I can sleep peacefully.....I just gotta wait till it's 11:44pm. Can't go sleep at 11:43pm it just feels "odd".
*snickering* I'm such a juvenile sometimes.
