Just a bit ago the top three threads involved:
1.I have a DWI. Can I be a nurse?
2.I am stupid. Can I be a nurse?
3.If it takes me five times to pass NCLEX, Can I be nurse.
Not much left to add. Says it all.
But,but, but OC- I want someone to give me a lollipop and a hug and tell me everything will be all better when I do bad.
If only people understood, that's what mommies are for, not internet message boards...
I've only got two in there! I'll toddle off and see what's wrong; give me a minute or two.
You might need to clean out your outbox too. :)
Now I have seen everything. The PVT said I passed the 150 times I checked it in the first 47 hours since I took my NCLEX, then at the 151st time it said I failed and so did the quick results. PLEASE HELP ME WRITE A LETTER OF COMPLAINT to the PVT people that they caused me emotional turmoil and distress making me think I passed but then tell me at 48hrs that I failed. After all I was told by my invisible friends on an anonymous message board that the trick is 100% accurate. I was so excited. Even my teachers told me to write the president of the testing center and tell them it's not fair, the trick said I passed so you have to pass me.
Followed that thread without responding, as I did not trust myself to not toss out a few flames. But don't worry, s/he actually did write that letter of complaint, including the ever-popular "I'm a good nurse" thrown in with a handful of "I have a 4.0, please reconsider" etc, and s/he got a response with a new testing number/date. Complete with "halleleuya". So....you think that's a win? S/he does.
And yet another thread that I'm keeping my fingers away from. I swear, I just don't have the patience today.....apparently it's a new thing that the NM interviewing the new grad says "I don't tolerate nurses eating their young" and "I have fired several bullies". I say new, because I can't imagine a NM EVER firing a competent nurse because she didn't like how that nurse talked to another nurse? Sounds like total, flame-broiled BS to me. Want to hire a couple of warm bodies? Tell them EXACTLY what that newbie was told. It's gold.
I once worked for a NM that told me similar stories, all about how we have to create a warmer, more loving environment in which to "nurture" our newest employees. Too bad she was right there with the flame thrower PRN!
