I've been on AN for a while, I signed up before I got in to nursing school. I read several times a week, but I'm more of a lurker, I rarely post.
I lurk on the School Nurse forum all the time, although I am not a school nurse. I come from a family a teachers-- Mom, Dad (now admin), Sister, Grandmother, Aunt, Uncle and some cousins; all teachers. I think that's part of the reason I find your threads so entertaining, it makes me giggle knowing how pesky teachers can be. And overall, you guys are just fun and I love reading your threads.
But you know what I love best about your forum? How tight knit and supportive you are of each other (*Disclaimer: this is not to say other people on other boards AREN'T, I just think this is a smaller group, thus allowing a tighter knit). You guys are always so supportive of each other. I was just reading a random thread and Farawan (pretty sure that's spelled wrong 😳) started her response with "You can come to us with ANYTHING, okay?" That made my heart smile ðŸ˜.
So pretty much, you guys are the cool kids and I wanted to give you a shout out. You're also a bunch of smart alecks, so what's not to love? 😉

Thank you.
The only truly cool one is Flare. The rest of us are a bunch of dorks. Especially OldDude.
I really can't get through the day without my SN peeps. They are so smart, and giving, and supportive, and freaking hilarious.
There have been many times I was unsure (read my Narcan thread) and although many nurses weighed in, these folks here on this forum are the people I trust to know exactly what I'm asking. We don't always agree 100%, but I listen to them a bit harder, because this is my job, and they have become my co-workers.
If I ever get blocked at work I will be so sad. I count on my friends.

You saved that pic, didn't you? Just so you could post it whenever you wanted. And yeah, you guys are cool. Why else would I wear pink on Wednesdays so that I can sit at the cool kids' table?
Yes. You are right. That's the only reason I saved it.
Yes. You are right. That's the only reason I admit that I saved it.
I think I may have just fixed that for you!
I wish I would have noticed the twisted hem on my shirt.

There is a picture of your denim clad rear end with you wearing a pink pair of women's underwear OVER the denim (better than NOT wearing the denim-haha!!) plastered all over the internet and you are concerned about the twisted hem on your shirt?
I know, right? That was so clumsy of me not noticing that!!

Best.wedige.ever....
But really, so grateful for this board. One of the hardest things about this job is not having other medical staff around to discuss things with. being here really helps.
And thank you, twss..feel free to stay and jump right in...
