No pink but I did wear pearls today in memory of Barbara Bush. Going to her final rest on palliative care and with a shot of bourbon if the rumor was true - Man! I want to go out like that. With dignity and grace and whiskey.

One of my first memories of BB was when Geraldine Ferraro was chosen as a running mate for Democratic candidate Dukakis (I think it was him, maybe Mondale???) and they didn't see eye to eye. In fact, they exchanged a few choice words.

My mother was a big fan of BB; she always wanted a BB pearl necklace...along the way we bought her one. She really liked it. She always wanted to be buried in a red casket and her BB pearl necklace. When she died last year we buried her in a red casket and her BB pearl necklace.

Hey Peeps. Just checking in to say that I will be out of school enjoying a Track Meet tomorrow. But, in the true spirit of Wednesday- I am going to be wearing a pink shirt! It would be awful to have to sit at the nerd table on a day off from school!
