I posted awhile back about whether to enter the LPN or RN program. Because of my age and the posts I read were wonderful. Truly inspiring and supportive and it helped me to decide. So today, I registered for classes for the RN program. I am so excited. I have always wanted to be an RN in L&D. But I was going the LPN route because of my age. But I am not going let my age stop me from doing what I have always dreamed of. For those of you who do not know my age, its 48. Its a long road and I am going to take it one day at a time and study and study. All of you older gals like me who are worrying about age....Go For It! I am and happy about it. Thanks to everyone for your kind words and support.

Fantastic!!! My best friend is nursing school is 50+ and I am 23+!!! She already has a four year degree as a vet asst. She was a stay at home mom for 25 yrs and has recently separated from her husband. She not only is president of our class, making top grades, but wants to continue to NP. Its like that old saying goes...you are only as old as you feel. And frankly, she has more energy than I do most of the time.
BEST OF LUCK TO YOU!!!
