Anyone applying to Texas Women University? I recently attended an information session and spoke to Ms.Victoria the nursing coordinator for TWU. What are your stats? What advice to you give when studying for the TEAS? I know you have to apply for TWU first then get accepted. Then you apply to TWU NURSING. But I am somewhat confused on that process. I went to the apply portal and it does not give me the option to apply for FAll of 2016. I may have to wait. Any current TWU students that can give me any advice on the application process. It will be of great help. Thank you!
@aritter4 thankss! I actually realized that the requests sent to their emails may have gone to their spam or junk folder lol so I emailed them personally to check and see. Ahh im so nervous to submit everything.. good luck to everyone! Oh and btw my stats are 3.8 GPA, 87% TEAS, and sadly no TWU bump or Bachelors (hope that doesnt lower my chances)... im not sure if im competitive or not but we'll wait and see i guess.
Also, to clarify, the only things you need to submit are the nursingCAS application, TEAS report, and the official transcript right?
Hello everyone! I have submitted my application for Fall 2016 but NursingCAS is still waiting on my transcripts to arrive! I already feel like I'm going crazy waiting, I can't believe it's going to be another 2 months before we find out!
My stats:
Pre-req GPA: 4.0
TEAS: 94
TWU bump: yes!
From what my advisor told me, the Dallas campus is heavily favoring those who have the TWU bump or have at least taken some of their pre-requisites there. Good luck to everyone!!
Oh wow, I knew that TWU favored students who have taken classes there but I didnt know it was that heavily weighed in the admissions process! Extremely nervous now...I dont want to apply to Houston or Denton cause its a lot farther away from home as I am looking to stay closeby. And if Im correct, you can only apply to one campus right?
Also, I called TWU in november and spoke with the admissions officer and she said that you could only take TEAS once, not multiple times...did that change? Cause she said that applicants were able to take the TEAS several times last year but they changed it this year so you can only take it once.
The old rule was that you could only take it once each time you applied, but this semester they changed it. Now we can take it as many times as needed but they only take the last eat scores whether they are your best or not. There are a lot of changes this semester. I would call the advisors again:)
I am extremely anxious and excited to know how we do this go 'round! I am applying for Dallas' Weekend/Evening program for the first time and am super stoked to see if I get in or not. I guess if I don't, then I will put my teaching certificate to use for a year and try again. :/
I'm just glad that everything is done and turned in, except for my last 2 transcripts. Eeek!
GPA: 3.5
TEAS: 84%
TWU Bump & Previous Bachelors
Seems about average, yet holding on to competitive. But we will see. Good luck to everyone! :)

I'm about to send in my CAS application, but have not heard back from any of my preferences yet, should I still submit it anyway?
