  1. Hi! I am actually a certified virtual nurse for my hospital, and we have definitely seen benefits! Some programs may have it set up a little differently. But essentially, we assist with ADT, chart review, paging MDs for our bedside nurses, rounding, patient and family updates - just to name a few. We have a process to co-sign medications and can help with electronic forms, calling facilities/pharmacies for medication lists. All these things I have done as a bedside nurse, and as we know, it takes up sooo much precious time away from hands-on patient care. I assume by the time I post this, you have already started your program. Interested to know how it's going!
  2. PCU Southwest and HEB, but accepted for SW
  3. Officially received my offer and paperwork today!
  4. So I just got a call today. Their wording was a little different but she said there were a "few units interested in pursuing you as a candidate." I was like "So they wanna hire me??" I think I have a job! Lol
  5. I have an interview scheduled for neuro pcu/icu
  6. Girl, yes! I should have put women's services on my application like originally since it looks like they have lots of openings! haha but mine are Aug 7 for PCUs.
  7. Are you an internal applicant? I think the application was for people already employed with THR, just cause I'm the website it said positions to open in September??? Anyway, I have two interviews set up in August!
  8. I applied to the residencies in the Fort Worth area, but it was just a general application. How were you able to specify? I have received NOTHING whatsoever but my apps are still in review
  9. Interviewed for Southwest ICU and Arlington ICU. Rejected from ED, Neuro ICU, and southwest ICU. I'm nervous that it's taking this long to hear back from arlington when I interviewed last friday
  10. I have an ICU interview waiting to be scheduled! And neuro ICU looks to be progressing too 😊
  11. Hey krstnwilson! For this particular program, I made sure that I had at least 16 credits hours at TWU since I also had a previous Bachelors. If you don't have a degree already, I believe it is 32 hours at TWU in order to get that preference. I'm glad I got both those bumps! :) My GPA was about a 3.43 and my TEAS was an 84% overall. I recommend sitting down with a TWU advisor and asking what you need to do in order to appear competitive. I retook a class from my previous degree and made sure I took the hours needed for the bump, like I said before, since my advisor suggested I do that. Good luck!
  12. I got in! OMG so excited and can finally breathe! Anyone else get into the Weekend/Evening program?
  13. Does anyone's status say Complete on it? And if so, where would that show up? I'm considering calling to see what's going on. So nervous!
  14. Hi everyone! So if you still have transcripts waiting to be verified and it's been past 10 days, I highly recommend emailing or calling NursingCAS and see what the holdup is. I had all but one transcript done and verified and I had them received the 1st of January. I have been wondering what the long wait was for and finally got ahold of them. Apparently, they just didn't realize that when I updated my application for a completed course, they didn't recognize it as an "Academic Update Transcript." So they just never updated my application! Completely frustrating. Had I not just gotten ahold of them, my app would have been in limbo the whole time and I probably would not be considered. Fortunately, they fixed the mistake within the day and it is FINALLY being verified and should be complete. Ugh!
  15. I am extremely anxious and excited to know how we do this go 'round! I am applying for Dallas' Weekend/Evening program for the first time and am super stoked to see if I get in or not. I guess if I don't, then I will put my teaching certificate to use for a year and try again. :/ I'm just glad that everything is done and turned in, except for my last 2 transcripts. Eeek! GPA: 3.5 TEAS: 84% TWU Bump & Previous Bachelors Seems about average, yet holding on to competitive. But we will see. Good luck to everyone! :)
