Texas Women University FALL 2016

Published

Anyone applying to Texas Women University? I recently attended an information session and spoke to Ms.Victoria the nursing coordinator for TWU. What are your stats? What advice to you give when studying for the TEAS? I know you have to apply for TWU first then get accepted. Then you apply to TWU NURSING. But I am somewhat confused on that process. I went to the apply portal and it does not give me the option to apply for FAll of 2016. I may have to wait. Any current TWU students that can give me any advice on the application process. It will be of great help. Thank you!

Does anyone know if TWU would take my pharmacology credit from another school? My guess is no but I just thought I'd see if anyone has tried this before. Thanks!

Hello everyone! I am applying for the Spring 2017 semester. If I get accepted in October for TWU, accept my acceptance, but then get accepted into another program in December, how do I go about "cancelling" my acceptance for TWU? I sure hope this makes sense LOL :wacky:

Hi all!!! Does anyone have a Pathophysiology book you're willing to sell?!? Email me at future.rn[email protected]

Thank you!!

Congrats to everyone who got accepted for TWU's Fall 2016.

My daughter received a call yesterday to say she was accepted for this semester. She is now transferring schools and moving back to Houston tonight.. I am one very proud papa.

UTMB and UT Houston Health Science did not accept her but West Texas A&M in Amarillo did and unfortunately it was too far from us.

I'm signed up to take Patho at the Dallas location starting next Tuesday!! Do any of you have any suggestions, helpful hints, or tips as far as the class goes/study habits?! TIA!

Hello Dad rooting for daughter,

I know your daughter!

I am the other student that also received a call at the last minute

Honored to meet you.

Congratulations FutureRNTaty. I bet you were just as excited when you received the call. :wideyed:

What a whirlwind experience to get accepted home. It is a pleasure to meet you. Looking forward to meeting you. Good luck as you make your way to a RN career.

What is PSI? I am planning to take my TEAS VI as they have changed it from version 5 to 6 with ATI and now i think they will be incorporating calculator also for the math section. Hope to hear from u guys. I am planning to apply for spring 2018 semester.

My Stats are:

Bachelors degree, Master's degree

Took almost all of the prerequisite.

3.05 GPA for my undergrad

3.89 GPA for my masters

4.0 GPA in almost all my prerequisite courses which i have been taking since last two years.

Now they have a CAS system which will be calculating all the GPA's and it will hurt my cumulative GPA but my prerequisite GPA is still high. I am just not sure if they will even look at my prerequisite GPA or not? or just go with CAS calculated GPA?

Would love to hear from you guys

From my understanding, PSI is a testing center that is used for students to take their Teas at. TWU only calculates your nursing core GPA, not all of the prerequisites required.

  • Anatomy & Physiology 1 w/lab
  • Anatomy & Physiology 2 w/lab
  • Microbiology w/lab
  • Chemistry w/lab
  • Developmental Psychology (lifespan)
  • Math Elementary Statistics
  • Introduction to Nutrition

A bachelors or 32+ hours done at TWU will give you the TWU BUMP.

I just got accepted for this upcoming Spring.

I hope this helps.
