Anyone applying to Texas Women University? I recently attended an information session and spoke to Ms.Victoria the nursing coordinator for TWU. What are your stats? What advice to you give when studying for the TEAS? I know you have to apply for TWU first then get accepted. Then you apply to TWU NURSING. But I am somewhat confused on that process. I went to the apply portal and it does not give me the option to apply for FAll of 2016. I may have to wait. Any current TWU students that can give me any advice on the application process. It will be of great help. Thank you!

They haven't even started the application process for the SPRING 2016, so that's probably why you don't have the FALL 2016 option.
I'm applying for the SPRING 2016, but I'm not very positive about getting in, because I don't have a previous BS nor did I get my prerequisites at TWU.
My stats are: 91% TEAS and 4.0 GPA (they only want your pre-requisites GPA, according to what they told me and what a current TWU student told me).

Actually I would say your chances of getting in are quite high. The TWU prerequisites and previous degree are just bonuses to add. But your GPA is perfect and you got a great score on the TEAS. When I started TWU nursing in 2013, an 80% on TEAS was a competitive score. You are a great candidate!

Honestly? Apply almost anywhere else. That school has become an absolute clusterfuck. I sincerely regret going there for my education.

I apologize you had a bad experience at TWU but the school is great. I have three close friends that went there and are really successful. One received his bachelors in nursing is now a nursing director. The other one received her BSN and went back to get her MSN and is a nursing educator. The other one received her BSN there got her MBA elsewhere but went back to TWU and received her PHD is now a nursing director. So TWU is a great school and has a traditional setting.

Hello all!
This is Heather Close, TWU's undergraduate nursing admissions coordinator. I rarely ever log in here, but thought I'd take the opportunity to do so in order to announce that TWU is moving to a new application system.
Beginning November 1, 2015, all applications for BSN upper-division nursing (pre-licensure and RN-BS) will be submitted through NursingCAS. We will no longer be using the old Pioneer Portal and paper application systems. NursingCAS allows students to search and apply to more than one nursing program (if desired), keep track of deadlines and application materials needed, check the status of all applications submitted, and more. Go to NursingCAS for more information on account setup, how to apply, and frequently asked questions. Our application will not be viewable until November 1, but I urge you to go ahead and create your account and explore the website. Use the "Prepare to Apply" and "Application Instructions" links on their main site to find detailed instructions. There's even an app you can download to keep up with your CAS account on your phone.
Since this is probably my once-a-year login to allnurses.com, I likely won't respond to any comments if you leave them here. You are all welcome to email [email protected] with questions, or check out our Facebook page, which is monitored by one of our nursing advisors.
Thanks! And good luck!

Anyone know what the timeline is for TWU making admissions decisions for Fall 2016? From previous years it looks like early March, but I was wondering if there was an official date written anywhere. Thanks!

I am not sure if there is an offical date, but what you said, around early/mid March is when we are notified. I am also applying to TWU. The CAS site is still not allowing us to select TWU, so I'm on hold until that happens. We have to send, once again, our transcripts to this service. You must also input all your courses into this system. I'm hoping that it will be active soon! Good luck everyone.
So we need to send transcripts to TWU and CAS?
