Texas Women University FALL 2016
Congrats to everyone who got accepted for TWU's Fall 2016. My daughter received a call yesterday to say she was accepted for this semester. She is now transferring schools and moving back to Houston tonight.. I am one very proud papa. UTMB and UT Houston Health Science did not accept her but West Texas A&M in Amarillo did and unfortunately it was too far from us.

UTMB Fall 2016
BSN. My daughter was conditionally accepted for the WTAMU Nursing program for this summer and still hopes to get a call from UTMB for the Fall. Congrats to all who have been called off the UTMB waitlist.

UTMB Fall 2016
Yes, my daughter received the email too today. She plans to get the finger printing done next week but we weren't sure if it was specific to her or a general ask for all waitlisted or potential students.

UTMB Fall 2016
Just got the word from my daughter, she was waitlisted. She received an email on Thursday evening. So she plans to attend West Texas A&M (WTAMU) Nursing program for the Summer however if we get the call, she will be ready to attend UTMB in the fall. If she does not get the call, she moves forward with all WTAMU. Congrats to everyone who got conditionally accepted and waitlisted. Good luck to all. I am a proud daddy however I will be happier if she gets the call from UTMB for the Fall 2016.

UTMB Fall 2016
Thank you cjc208. Hoping all of us get the positive news we want. Unfortunately, if my daughter is not accepted or waitlisted for the Fall, she is going to have to focus on the school that has accepted her. We still want her to stay close to home (UTMB), get her #1 priority school (UTMB) and have the opportunities to do clinicals in the Texas Medical Center. Better to network here in Houston and have more jobs opportunities too.

UTMB Fall 2016
Yesterday, my daughter called them to find out about her status and they stated they are working on the last wave. She could not share any information on her request but they stated that she should get a response within 3 weeks. So honestly, if she is not accepted, we are hopeful for a conditional acceptance or waitlisted opportunity. Good luck to everyone!

UTMB Fall 2016
Congrats KKtegan! Yeah, we jealous too. Yep, my daughter is still anxiously waiting feedback since 3/7 interview. I hope that UTMB would both an initial email and secondly an official letter just in case it was lost in the spam email. I wonder how many are still waiting from early March's interviews. It would be nice if UTMB would answer the calls or respond to the emails. But we will stay patient and confident. Good luck all!

UTMB Fall 2016
When were you told rejection letters are coming out in mid April? Did you speak with them directly? I read that a second wave was happening but not sure how accurate that is? Does anyone know how many students were going to be accepted for Fall 2016?

UTMB Fall 2016
I have been monitoring this forum for over 3 weeks now and I want to thank everyone for helping us understand the UTMB nurse acceptance process along with the helpful feedback. I am a VERY proud father rooting for my daughter to get accepted by UTMB (her first choice). She has been accepted by West Texas A&M Nursing program for Fall 2016 however I am hoping to keep her a little closer to Houston. She had her interview and an awesome tour on March 7th. The whole family (took a day off, sick day from school) went with her to support. She stated the interview was personable and went very well. Only a few basic questions about roadblocks to completing the program. Lasted maybe 25 minutes. She has been checking emails and the mailbox daily along with a few outgoing with calls to get updates with no luck. Apparently, we all have to be very-very patient. Based on the feedback, so long as we don't have a denial, there is still a chance. We are sitting on pins and needles. I appreciate the positive feedback that everyone is showing and sharing very helpful information. It seems many of you are having the similar issues (anxiously waiting...). I happened to review all the feedback from last forum "UTMB Spring 2016" and noticed that many went through what you are experiencing today. We (my daughter and I) will try to be patient and hope we see an acceptance letter. I would be happy even for a conditional one. So I wish everyone will get accepted. I hope my daughter is one of them too. Proud Father in Missouri City. Also I want to give a shout out to all those that have been already accepted. Congratulations.
