Anyone applying to Texas Women University? I recently attended an information session and spoke to Ms.Victoria the nursing coordinator for TWU. What are your stats? What advice to you give when studying for the TEAS? I know you have to apply for TWU first then get accepted. Then you apply to TWU NURSING. But I am somewhat confused on that process. I went to the apply portal and it does not give me the option to apply for FAll of 2016. I may have to wait. Any current TWU students that can give me any advice on the application process. It will be of great help. Thank you!
Hey guys! I've been working on my application and finally have it all completed. I'm going to be submitting it this Friday. I wanted to add, when I went to their info session last year, they said we will be finding out if we get in faster than ever this year due to their new system. That's pretty exciting[emoji1][emoji16]
Hello FutureRNValerie,
I hope the nursingCAS will enable the process to be faster, but I believe based on what I have read that TWU will be allowing a bit of flexibility on the deadline date of February 1st due to the new system that they are using. The later start date, along with the fact it is a new system to the nursing faculty which may involve clearing new bugs as they will inevitably pop up, may put them on the same schedule. They really can't predict either, but I hope you are right. I was told all of this by a SON advisor email to applicants. Good luck!
Alchemy 12,
I think you have a great chance of being accepted. I think the cutoff for TEAS is 80 or so...GPA, I am not sure but I see you have a TWU bump meaning you have taken classes there all ready which weighs in your favor.
Good luck but I don't think you will have much to worry about.

Hi, everyone! I'm also applying for fall 2016.
My stats are:
GPA- 4.0
TEAS- 82.7
TWU bump- yes
Do I have a good chance of getting accepted? I was considering retaking the TEAS but many have convinced me not to due to the fact that only the most recent scores are taken rather than the highest. Does anyone know the previous acceptance cutoff GPA and TEAS scores?
Thanks for any input!
