Nurses General Nursing Nursing Q/A

Does anyone know of any ADN programs in Texas that don't require an entrance exam? I am willing to do a waiting list if needed.

Thanks

I know of at least three:

  • San Antonio College
  • Laredo Community College, and
  • Austin Community College.

You can check out San Antonio College at www.accd.edu/sac. Hope this helps! Good luck.

Austin Community College requires you to take the HESI as an entrance exam, BEFORE you are eligible to apply.

I'm just curious why you want to avoid an entrance exam?

Well I am going to apply first at a couple of 2 year programs and they require the exam. I was only seeking a backup plan in case I don't do well. I am preparing and studying so I'm going to take the test first. Who knows I might just nail it the first time....that's my goal!!
