I have a visible tattoo around my wrist that I will need to cover up during clinicals. I've done a google search and there are a lot of tattoo cover brands available, but I was wondering if anyone here had any recommendations for one that would hold up well during clinicals.
how about covering it with that body makeup and then slapping a nice duoderm dressing (it's that clear dressing that is placed over peripheral IV sites) on it so it doesn't smear? it's waterproof so you can still wash with it. i think long sleeves aren't supposed to be worn and it will probably smear it anyway...
Hello
I have tried so many products myself, finally I have found one that works. Spent a fortune in the past as well, this one costs the least and works the best.
Tattoo-Cover.co.uk they sell a 5 colour wheel (with powder and spray) that I swear by, not sure about the rest of their stuff sorry.
Its the spray that keeps it on (they sell it for weddings, white dresses and all that)
Good luck

I have two large tattoos, one on my arm and one on my leg. I had them done in Thailand years ago. I have tried Dermablend and did not like it.
You need a palette of shades so you can match your skin. Its expensive if you have to buy full sizes of different shades.
I wish boots sold something cheap!! Shame
I'd agree with others regarding a watch, bandage or long sleeves for coverage.
I had rather severe flares of cystic acne when I was much younger, and consequently am quite familiar with Dermablend cosmetics. For coverage, their products absolutely work like a dream...
but they also can smear and stain like you wouldn't believe. Exercise caution!

ok then try using the set from the tattoo-cover company i mentioned before. they have a set with green neutraliser for red acne scars. i know product does not rub off or sweat off because it comes with the wonder spray that actors use on stage. (to stop sweating makeup running)
i have not tried the green neutraliser set, but it seems to make sense to me.
good luck

i had the same problem. i have a tat on both wrists i got the summer before nursing. i thought wrong if they would be okay with it b/c they werent... well i used a bandaid and a watch on the smaller tat and two bandaids and a sweat band over it for the other bigger tat. itll just have to do.

I dont think youre allowed to wear a bracelet to clinical ..im thinking infection control.
A lab coat sounds like a good idea
