Tarrant County Fall 2011 Applicants

Published

Hello,

I'm applying to the fall nursing program in January. I'm super excited but I still have some unanswered questions. I tried calling the Nursing Dept at the South Campus and left a message but have not heard a response.

I'm trying to find out what teas version they are testing with in the spring for fall entry. I have read tons of threads from TCC for the past few semesters and it is nice to start a new one for nursing hopefuls like me.

I'm taking Micro in the fall and getting a math class knocked out for BSN. Anyway, hope to get some responses.

Thanks Studentcl! At least we know somebody will get a call and I'm a little closer. :)

I bet on Monday a lot more people will drop from WC.

I bought my patches yesterday and was thinking I would just match my pants to the patches. Good call Loly!!!

Yay, how exiciting! I ordered my name tags yesterday too and they said it would take 2-3 weeks.

Hey formack did your friend notify WC? If so that's three spots that we know opened up.

It is Monday, bleh! Any one making new purchases this week?

Sherri, did K from wc tell you if they will still contact alternates while she is out?

If so, I pray that you hear something this week ;)

I am going to order nametags and get my patches today. I may start searching for good deals on some of the reference books we will need. I've been working through the Clinical Calculations Made Easy book, the math is not so bad. I was mostly nervous about how important getting this math correct is, seeing that it is used to give patients medications properly. But it is pretty easy. I actually enjoy the dimesional analysis.

Have a good Monday everyone!

I can across a TCC patch that I had left over. I am willing to put it in the mail for the first person to PM me. Good luck to everyone.

I'm shopping around for a pair of glasses this week! I've never worn them before, but I need them. Tomorrow I'm going to get my vacirella titer.

Ugh! Every single time (which has only been 3 times during this entire app period) I call TCC nursing, they are so RUDE! I am really hoping I did not make a mistake by choosing them. I pray that the program is not a reflection of the people who are working in the nursing deaprtment....although I don't see how it couldn't be.

I'm just venting, but it is so frustrating!

I bought my patches today..... I was all thinking "that's right people, I'm in the program" LOL

:)

It is funny, I have called a load more than three times and I have not once encountered a rude person on the other end of the line. Someone definitely doesn't like their job. Try calling 4044 next time. This person has been extremely nice and patient during all my calls there.
