Hello,
I'm applying to the fall nursing program in January. I'm super excited but I still have some unanswered questions. I tried calling the Nursing Dept at the South Campus and left a message but have not heard a response.
I'm trying to find out what teas version they are testing with in the spring for fall entry. I have read tons of threads from TCC for the past few semesters and it is nice to start a new one for nursing hopefuls like me.
I'm taking Micro in the fall and getting a math class knocked out for BSN. Anyway, hope to get some responses.
Like some of you, I'm excited about the new campus but was a little upset because I'm 8 miles from the south campus and wasn't expecting the longer drive.. But at this point I would gladly drive longer!! :)
I figures they were going to the HESI but I guess it's super official now.. Let's just hope that we all get in this time around because I can't imagine studying and stressing over another entrance exam.
I just want the letters already!! Ahh!!
I met with JM last week as I am applying this summer. I was bummed to hear about the hesi. I had a 92% percent on my TEAS and was hoping to use that score. She also said that they are doing away with bonus points because the classes had such limited availability. I was glad to hear that because I have not taken any of those.
Good luck to to those who are waiting :)
I took Buss/prof speech at southeast campus. I took it with ******, she was great.
Thanks, ab51. Would you mind sending the name in a pm?
I drove by the new campus after Main St. Arts Fest yesterday. Awesome! Plus it being on the edge of downtown means I can hop off 287 onto Belknap and there it is! (as long as parking isn't a spoiler) No way the classrooms will have those views, though. I would stare out the window the entire time.
At this point I have sort of just tried to not even think about what they have going on over there. I have a sneaking suspension that we will hear something by the end of this week or early next, but that is really just wishful thinking. Who knows.....
Pina-let us know if you hear anything....but I will not be surprised to hear, "They still don't know how many they are accepting, etc" I guess we will see.
Yes, let us know!!
I try not to think about it either but that's impossible.
StudentCL- didn't you get into WC? You are very fortunate if you did! Probably a lot less stress waiting on this letter now. I'm dying. I wish I was in your shoes and if it is a denial letter not have to worry about it!
How has everyone else been? I'm finishing up my PE online class and it's been a nightmare! I've never taken an online class but I know that this particular teacher is the reason why it is a nightmare! That's what's keeping me busy.. Dealing with her lol

I made the mistake of taking PE online. i ended up with a C, I still can't believe it. The teacher kept making changes to due dates, and my PC went down, so I had limited use of a PC. I missed the deadline for a major assignment. I went from an A to a C. I should have just taken it on campus.
Anyway- I hope everyone is having a good week, and maybe our wait is almost over. I have accepted that it is out of my hands and I should be enjoying life, either way I will be busy with school soon.
