Tarrant County Fall 2011 Applicants

Published

Hello,

I'm applying to the fall nursing program in January. I'm super excited but I still have some unanswered questions. I tried calling the Nursing Dept at the South Campus and left a message but have not heard a response.

I'm trying to find out what teas version they are testing with in the spring for fall entry. I have read tons of threads from TCC for the past few semesters and it is nice to start a new one for nursing hopefuls like me.

I'm taking Micro in the fall and getting a math class knocked out for BSN. Anyway, hope to get some responses.

Anyone want to start a postage fund, so we can just get our acceptance letters, and get the rest when they figure it out? J/K ;)

In a past post someone said they haven't even decided who gets in. Do you think that is true? I mean I think we should all be in their table right now, ranked from top to bottom, then they just pick th etop 100 or 130 when they decide how many.

I know I am over thinking this, but what else do I have to do but obsess over nursing school?

You can drop at one point and you get a full refund can't you?

I'm really sorry about this.

Never mind, I was late to the party and this is already answered. ;)

Did anyone notice the eligibility requirement link is down too? I guess they are changing them. I hope we all get in this time. I don't want to go back and jump through more hoops.

Do ya'll think that all the rejections due to incompleteness of application of some sort have been sent and received by now? Cause I will be happy to let that worry go and just hope I rank higher than the cutoff, whatever it turns out to be.

Also, I can't remember, but surely we had to put an e-mail address on the app. I wish they would just tell us to check our e-mail or their website after a certain date for orientation location, etc. :idea:Really, everyone had to be accepted by TCC first, so dont we all have or will soon have a tccd.edu? Darn delays!

3Wishes,

I don't know why they don't inform people by email. Plenty of other schools do it appears. It's nerve wracking waiting to hear something from these nursing depts. Did you apply to WC too?

My guess, the ones with incompletes have been sent by now.

No, I thought about it, but I just don't want that 45-55 min. drive each way to W'ford. Although a new TCC campus is great, I was bummed when I first heard about the move as I love the 6 min. commute I have to south campus. My Easter eggs are all definitely in the TCC basket right now. Then I'll think about RN to MSN at TWU. Talk about a commute (but some is online)! At least my youngest will be 10 by then, so that helps. Hopefully the economy will improve by 2013, so we aren't stuck taking any job that will have us w/in a 100 mile radius! I hate long drive times/traffic.

Anybody else signing up for Bus/Pro Comm (speech) tonight? I'm looking at mornings at south or southeast, tho I can't find any ratings on the prof at se.

Happy Weekend (and did ya'll notice this thread passed its 50th page):balloons:

I agree with the drive. Fuel prices are already going nuts. My husband paid $4/gal this week for unleaded.

Oooooh, yeah. Gas. I wonder what the T is like from that lot at Park Row and 20 to get to TRC, if it's even possible.

With what is saying about parking, I think the T is a great idea!

Don't know if yall know or not but the Hesi is required next go round... I just found out from the pdf on the website

http://www.tccd.edu/Documents/Disciplines/Nursing/Nursing%20Information%20Session.pdf

I'd heard, guess it's official now.

3 wishes, I applied last fall, applications sue september 30th. I got my incomplete letter on October 18th saying I was missing something. So, they normally would have sent them already. They are the first things to go out; they get that part out of the way.
