Tarrant County Fall 2011 Applicants

Published

Hello,

I'm applying to the fall nursing program in January. I'm super excited but I still have some unanswered questions. I tried calling the Nursing Dept at the South Campus and left a message but have not heard a response.

I'm trying to find out what teas version they are testing with in the spring for fall entry. I have read tons of threads from TCC for the past few semesters and it is nice to start a new one for nursing hopefuls like me.

I'm taking Micro in the fall and getting a math class knocked out for BSN. Anyway, hope to get some responses.

I have the same goal, but have lost THREE pounds in 14 days. I thought I was doing well. Now I feel bad. HaHa!

It's starting to be yard work time, so I think they will start coming off faster due to all the outdoor work I have planned.

Grats Ab! I have lost 34lbs so far, but I'm sure I have quite a bit more to lose than most of you. It is coming off rather easily right now. I just cut back on portion sizes, started incorporating more veggies, and started exercising at least 45 minutes daily. I'm really hoping to drop quite a bit more prior to the program starting.

I also think my nerves have started to go away a bit about getting in to the program. Basically, I'm just trying to look at it as whatever is meant to be will be. I just hope getting in is what is meant to be! Hahaha

Those damn manila envelopes in my mail box, they could have changed them from white right?

Are the envelopes white? Wow, has it come to talking about the color of envelopes??? We really need some new news.

Congrats to everyone that is getting in shape before school, I know it's a tough road, but worth it in the end. Next, I've got to start adding physical activity. Just haven't had the time yet.

I think the envelopes are white! Lol I coulda sworn my friends last may where white with green on the sides!

And I feel the same way as y'all. I'm constantly talking to people about what could happenand what direction I'll go if it does. I do NOT want to have to come on here with bad news and tell y'all.. That will kill me :/

I'm really praying that everyone of us gets in!!!!

And I've never looked at a calendar before and said "gosh march needs to end!!!" lol as I did yesterday...

And while we're at it, let's just skip April all together!!! :)

You guys crack me up, I don't think I have read a TCC thread in the past 3 semester as fun as ours. :)

Ummm yes we can skip April!!! Except if they send them earlier this year!!! Ahh

So I'm kind of beating myself up now for not applying to WC and TCC only TCC. Honestly, I never even considered WC until I read on here. I looked up the point system today and I have 20 points out of 23 points for WC. I'm not sure if this is competitive at all because I don't know that program really well but I'm still bummed. I really thought WC was a lot further from me than it it (it's only a 45 min drive from point A to B). I read though somewhere that you have to take a certain number of hours from WC in order to appy? Is that true? I'm just trying to get ideas for if TCC doesn't work out for me this semester.. lol I told yall I'm thinking of every possiblity of this letter.. whether it be bad or good.

I really hate to break it to you, but you would've gotten into WC without a doubt! 20 points is outstanding!!

20 points is great!! And no, you do not need to take classes there before applying. If you have that many points for wc though, you will have an excellent chance for Tcc. You must have a great science gpa, all the required classes, and you must have done well on the teas!! It sounds like you will be fine for Tcc
