Hello,
I'm applying to the fall nursing program in January. I'm super excited but I still have some unanswered questions. I tried calling the Nursing Dept at the South Campus and left a message but have not heard a response.
I'm trying to find out what teas version they are testing with in the spring for fall entry. I have read tons of threads from TCC for the past few semesters and it is nice to start a new one for nursing hopefuls like me.
I'm taking Micro in the fall and getting a math class knocked out for BSN. Anyway, hope to get some responses.
Hello everyone. I was just wondering if any of you has had success in accessing the dosage calculation program they sent us via email. I can't get past the login area.Everyone ready for tomorrow?
I was not able to get past the login either.
I'm ready for tomorrow! I'm really anxious and excited. I hardly got any sleep last night because I could not stop thinking about it. I can only imagine how tonight will be!!!

I was really looking forward to practicing some more dosage calculation questions. I'm actually having fun with it now. I loved the powepoint presentations that were done by Dr. U. Great practice.
studentcl, and dreamer, what time do you guys plan on getting there?
Did everyone have a great first day of classes?! My day was my short theory day.. so far so good! :) Tomorrow is my long clinical day but I am still eager. I hope everyone has been doing great today!!
I had an awesome first day!! It was a lot more relaxed and mellow than I was anticipating. I had clinical from 1pm-7pm, and although we had to go over a lot of orientation type stuff, we were actually taught some new things and were able to practice them in the Skills Lab. It was a lot of fun. I am more excited about Nursing School now than I was this morning, yesterday, or even the day I found out I was accepted. It just opened my eyes to how much passion I have for this field. :)
I hope everyone else had a great first day too!
I was just wondering if i have a chance to get into the program, with all B's for my science classes.
It's hard to say now that the prerequisite requirements have changed. Now you're only required to have completed your 4 Science courses and your math class or math placement test before applying. I think that it would actually cause it to be a bit more difficult to get into the program with all B's. Every applicant pool is different though, and I most certainly wouldn't say that you have no hope of getting accepted, it just really depends who you are up against. My suggestion would be to apply (if you're eligible), and retake one of your Sciences to try and make an A while you wait, that way if you don't get in you can reapply with a better GPA. And you never know, if your HESI scores are high enough, it could offset the Sciences GPA and you'd have a great shot at getting in.
