Hello,
I'm applying to the fall nursing program in January. I'm super excited but I still have some unanswered questions. I tried calling the Nursing Dept at the South Campus and left a message but have not heard a response.
I'm trying to find out what teas version they are testing with in the spring for fall entry. I have read tons of threads from TCC for the past few semesters and it is nice to start a new one for nursing hopefuls like me.
I'm taking Micro in the fall and getting a math class knocked out for BSN. Anyway, hope to get some responses.
Grabbed my Foundations book last night and the med math book. Started looking through it, practicing some conversions and reading some of those chapters assigned. I resisted opening those books so much because I felt that once I did, my break would be over. Well, I guess the time is here. May we all look back in May 2013 and realize how far we have come. Can't wait until orientation!
I have been trying to read, and finding it difficult to get into the swing of it. Maybe it's because i don't HAVE to read just yet. I am so ready to get registered and get started. I think I may have a friend and family get together before school starts. I have a feeling I won't have much time for anyone come later this month.
i haven't posted in a while, but i have been reading all the threads. i was at the so this past thursday and thought i should share some info i got just in case someone may have the same questions like i did. after a week or so from the drug screen, the instructors will put a petition so we can be able to register. you can put your courses in the prefered list like we normally do by clicking on register in webadvisor and clicking
build preferred section list and register
use this option to enter the 7 digit synonym (e.g. 0015720) for one or more sections to add to your preferred list and then register. if registering for a lecture and lab, both synonyms must be listed before clicking on submit (copied from site).
you should have the 7 digit synonym from the schedules they posted at so campus for you to put your courses in a preffered list since we can longer view the courses from webadvisor. i just built my preffered list and i am so excited to see my classes there. all i am waiting for now is to hit the register button and hoping it goes through since i have submitted everything. good luck to everyone and enjoy your summer.
i hope this helps a little.
Dang! I don't have my 7 digit number to "pre-register".. so I guess I'll just have to wait it out. I only have the course and section number written down because thats all the girl told me to write down that day! Ah.. oh well.. :/
And I just read the article/saw the skills lab picture from the star-telegram article! I'm so excited! The lab looked really nice!!! :)

Whew! Today was a day for me! I went and (FINALLY) picked up my name tags from SO campus and then went straight to do my drug test. I also went over to TR campus and bought the Theory textbook w/ my nursing lab and the evolve online access code. I am not buying the skills book so I went to get the online component of that but they were confused and I ended up buying the wrong one. I'm upset but very glad that I didn't open the shrink wrap because I got home and typed in the ISBN and come to find out it's for the physical therapy program NOT nursing. LOL.. kinda silly that they don't have that written anywhere on the package. Oh well. So besides my online component of the skills book, I'm done!!!!! I also dropped off my tops to my mom today who is estatic about sewing on my patches.
All I have to do is my CPR class on the 23rd and I'm officially ready to go!!! :) So exciting!!
