I'm applying to the fall nursing program in January. I'm super excited but I still have some unanswered questions. I tried calling the Nursing Dept at the South Campus and left a message but have not heard a response.
I'm trying to find out what teas version they are testing with in the spring for fall entry. I have read tons of threads from TCC for the past few semesters and it is nice to start a new one for nursing hopefuls like me.
I'm taking Micro in the fall and getting a math class knocked out for BSN. Anyway, hope to get some responses.
OK so I know I'm posting a lot lately so excuse me for that but I went by our campus today! I definitely was looking at the wrong campus up until today (I thought the new building was closer to trinity river rather than the courthouse). The parking lot is TINY! I'm kinda scared about that but otherwise it's pretty and definitely modern looking! :) I'm excited! :)
I think there are two-three parking areas next to the building. It looks like there is a closed off parking area across the street from those finished parking lots that may become additional parking. It is worrisome. I plan to get there extra early on the first day.
Loly, I got my books from Majors! They were actually delivered Friday evening around 5pm to work, but I was already gone for the day, and then I was off yesterday, so they were here waiting on me this morning. I would think you'd be getting yours today. And FYI, the UPS Tracking # they sent to me in my email was the wrong one, so that's why I thought the package wouldn't arrive until tomorrow.
I called them, they said they are shipping them today. I think they are located in Dallas so it shouldn't take too long. My amazon order has shipped and it is also in Dallas. I did order those CIDS (hopefully they are the correct ones) and I will pick them up today.
Did you order them as well? I was pleased that they were cheap. I thought I read somewhere that they were 12 dollars a piece.
I have to say, I flipped through my Mosby's 2012 Nursing Drug Reference book and my Taber's Medical Dictionary... LOVE them both!! Everything else is wrapped in cellophane, or else I'd browse through them too.

That's good that they're on their way. What a crazy feeling, looking through my box of books makes me realize how REAL this is! I will be attending Nursing School in the Fall!! Holy cow!!! How exciting! *deep breaths*
Yes, I ordered the CIDs, and I was also pleased at how cheap they were. They only had them available for Clinicals and Theory. I will check back regularly to see when the one for Skills is available and let you know.
Just got my Fundamentals book and my nursing diagnosis book and they are both so thick. The fundamentals book seems thicker than the A&p book and we took that over two semesters. I'm not intimidated though, I am up for the challenge. My book package is scheduled to be delivered today :)
