I'm applying to the fall nursing program in January. I'm super excited but I still have some unanswered questions. I tried calling the Nursing Dept at the South Campus and left a message but have not heard a response.
I'm trying to find out what teas version they are testing with in the spring for fall entry. I have read tons of threads from TCC for the past few semesters and it is nice to start a new one for nursing hopefuls like me.
I'm taking Micro in the fall and getting a math class knocked out for BSN. Anyway, hope to get some responses.
Anything downtown/hospital district/7th st area would be nice. It's all in the central city so it should be convenient for most of everyone. I love Gloria's and Joe T's but I am open to anywhere. Would we be going for lunch or dinner?
3wishes- aww well I understand if you change your schedule BUT I would love to have the same schedule as you because I don't know anyone yet! But I hope you get what is best for you!
I leave in mansfield right off 287 so anything in fort worth is OK for me. I work night shifts and have tues and wed. usually off so lunch would be better for me!
There's Riscky's, Uno's, Flying Saucer... is that Cabo place still there? Mi Cocina has a nice outdoor area, but it's further south of TRC and a little more upscale. I've seen some newish places I can't remember. Anywhere else? The hospital district has some unique places. Anybody know some popular ones? There's a Gloria's on 7th St. (Montgomery Plaza)-great ceviche tostadas and killer margaritas. Cowtown - Joe T's - more good margaritas by the pool.
Those are all good places...there is also a Chuy's on 7th that I love love love....and they have awesome margaritas too! I am pretty free any day for lunch or dinner. We need to just pick a date and go with it.
lmd, I have this schedule, too, but I put my name on the board to trade for any of 6 other schedules that have a.m. clinicals AND a.m. theory. I doubt I will get a call from anyone, though, especially the best ones for me (50710 or 50707 or 50704).
Anyone know anything about this hospital?
Kindred is a Long Term Acute Care Hospital. It is for patients who need extended hospital stays, either for vent weening, wound care, IV antibiotics, etc... It is located on 8th Ave. just across from Plaza medical center.
I used to work there, but have been at Kindred Mansfield for the past 8 1/2 years.
lmd, did you go get your schedule yesterday around noon or so?
Also, to add a bit of information about Kindred, my sister worked there for a period of time and really loved it! I'm excited I got it as my clinical site :)
IT's been a bit since I've been on here but now that schedules are up I see lots of AN activity. Yes, it's very exciting.

Theory on M/W 10:00-11:50
Skills on M 1:30-4:30

Clinical -North Hills on T/Th 1-7. I'm really happy with my schedule thankfully.
My friend CaityMouse is in with her family in New Zealand for the summer so I got her schedule and I'm chomping at the bit to tell her! Hopefully she'll Skype today so I can share with her. She wouldnt mind me sharing with all of you as I know we both have come to view you all as friends so to speak

Wow, this is all coming together...one step closer now. Now that I have my schedule I feel as if it's even more real than it was before. I have something concrete to wrap my head around...NOW moving forward!!
but my books are all in (check) immunizations all complete (check) background check done (check)
I still need to get CPR certified. (aghhh) I still need to get a few more things done..patches, parking pass, insurance/photo/health statement, etc. oh! and drug screen. And most importantly....financial AID>>>>but at least my list is getting a little shorter and shorter.
I would like to meet up on Orientation day. Glorias sounds great...anyplace inside, that has AC it's gonna be hotter than hell in august.

I've heard real good things abt kindred ft worth. My friends mom in the program had her first semester there and talked to me about it so I'm happy with it. :)
At Rajah, we have the same time for clinical and looks like I will be in the same class with ab for Theory. I am so happy with my schedule. @ loly, my kids are the same age as yours and i also plan not to work while in NS.

ok...is it just me or is the page all wanky? it wont let me see my last post or anything past Waiting4News comment ending in Let's just pick a date and go with it. What's weird is I got a notification saying that AnotherHopeful responded to my last post, but i cant' get in and access it. I tried from my laptop and my home computer!
