Tarrant County College?

Published

Hello to everyone! I'm brand new to this site, but already finding lots of great information. Are any of you familiar with or applying to Tarrant County College ASN program? I'm in the dreaded wait until the first part of May. I took my TEAS exam last weekend and did really well so I'm hoping for the best! I look forward to getting to know each of you better.

That's funny ! I'm not taking any classes this semester (mistake!) so I just have an idle mind right now which is going crazy waiting. Well, I've got a clean house though, that's for sure. I just got thru vacuuming again today. I vacuum everyday just to try and keep my mind on something else, but it doesn't last long....Wow, April would be nice. Is your friend sure about that ? That would be so nice to get the letters this month.

She said that she remembered getting the letter around her birthday, and her birthday is the 19th I think. Again, that was about three years ago though and I'm sure that they have more applications to process now than they did then. I'm taking six hours this semester, but really wish I had also taken micro now. I just wasn't sure that I could handle it with having a new baby and breastfeeding etc.

Well, good luck to you as well!! It must be really tough trying to transfer from another program. I don't know where you went before, but the move to TCC is so worth it. I'm not biased or anything...hehehe...but I believe that TCC has one of the best nursing schools in the area. The faculty is super supportive and into seeing you succeed. They make you work for it, but they are with you every step of the way. I love going to school there. I honestly feel like I'm getting a top notch education there. I think the interview must be exclusive to transfer students. I don't know of anyone who had to do one. When will you have to go for your interview? Do you know who it will be with? Well, gotta run get ready for my clinical day. Good luck!!

Well, good news! I have my transfer interview on April 25th. It's with Dr. Ray, the coordinator of the nursing program. Do you know anything about her?

She's very professional. She seems very nice. We really don't interact with her all that much. I wish I could give you something more to go on. Just take a deep breath and relax and everything should go just fine. Good luck!!

Congratulations on your new baby!!! That is so exciting!! I'm such a baby person. I just love them. LOL!! That's a good thing since I was blessed with two at once the last time I gave birth. hehehehehe

Did I tell ya'll the story of when I was waiting for my packet? I literally STALKED my mailman the day I new they were coming. I drove all over my neighborhood looking for him so I could gauge when he might make it by my house. My kids and I were staring out the window that afternoon when FINALLY he stopped on the corner to go down the street next to ours. One of my girls and I waited until he got out of his truck and got down the street a little ways and went over to the truck and peeked in the window. Since my house was his next stop, my packet was right there in front!!!! My daughter and I stood in the middle of the street screaming with joy. It was a great time. I'm sure the mailman wondered what I was doing standing beside his truck screaming LOL!!

I hope you get your day soon!!! It's April 6th!!! It's closing in fast!!

Thank you! Baby girl born on January 5th.

If I knew exactly when the letters were coming out, I would stalk my mailman too ! I just can't wait to find out something ! I want to call the college so badly or just go by to see about the letters, but I don't want to seem like I'm bugging anybody. I keep reminding myself - Patience is a virtue. Yeah, right!

If Twin Pumpkin has an interview in the lastweek of April, that pretty much confirms to me that their not going to send the letters out until probably the end of that week.

Wow - twins huh? You must be one busy lady!

LOL on the mailman story. I'm sure I will be the exact same way. I'm already stalking him and it's only the first week of April . Just wait until later in the month! :)

I agree that patience IS a virtue, it's just not one that I have. :)
