Hello to everyone! I'm brand new to this site, but already finding lots of great information. Are any of you familiar with or applying to Tarrant County College ASN program? I'm in the dreaded wait until the first part of May. I took my TEAS exam last weekend and did really well so I'm hoping for the best! I look forward to getting to know each of you better.
I just heard about this, this week. I was surprised. Hopefully they'll keep the dimensional analysis class because for the mathematically challenged, such as myself, it was really helpful. I wonder if they are going to offer something else instead? Did they mention if the applicant pool was really large? It has been for the last few years. I was just wondering if it might start to taper off. I've got my fingers crossed for ya'll!!!
I was told that they will begin including the terminology and dimensional analysis in the first semester of classwork. I was able to take DA and terminology at the beginning of the fall semester and was told at that time that they might do 1 more terminology class but they would not be doing anymore DA. I wanted the extra points!

I have a bit of insider info. The New Student Orientation is going to be on May 5th. That means that the packets would have to go out in plenty of time for people to be able to make it. I don't want to freak ya'll out, but, you may get your answers sooner than first thought!!
Keeping my fingers crossed!!

The south campus really isn't too bad. It's all highway out there and you only have to go to the campus a couple of times per week. I've heard that once the campus is built downtown, that the nursing department will be moving out there. Although, it's been awhile since I've heard anything about the downtown campus. Hmmm??
I definitely wish that there were classes on NE campus, it would make my life sooooo much easier! But, since there isn't, oh well. LOLBrealynn - I'm hanging in there. Luckily I've been extremely busy this week so it's not too bad just yet. Closer to the end of the month, I'm sure that it will start to creep by.

You're right, I haven't heard anything lately either! Weird.
You laugh because you think I"m joking! ROFL
So let's see.....if orientation is the 5th, I would think we would have to have the letters in hand no later than the 28th to give a full week notice. Even that would be pretty quick. Maybe having them by the 21st would be more reasonable? What's your best guess?
I guess it depends on where you live, because south campus is far away for me :) I haven't heard anything in awhile about the downtown campus. I wonder if they put a stop to it. Personally, while downtown is closer, dealing with that traffic would be...not so much fun.
Is the mailman scared of you yet?
Katy, did your friend look into North Lake? That is where I'm trying to go so that I don't have to drive to South campus. The worst thing about El Centro is trying to find parking in downtown. And dealing with homeless people when leaving night classes...
I guess everyone just likes different things :)
