Tarrant County College?

Hello to everyone! I'm brand new to this site, but already finding lots of great information. Are any of you familiar with or applying to Tarrant County College ASN program? I'm in the dreaded wait until the first part of May. I took my TEAS exam last weekend and did really well so I'm hoping for the best! I look forward to getting to know each of you better.

I'm so worried that I won't get in !! I just read a post about a girl that was denied to another school that scored low on the reading comp of the entrance exam, but it wasn't the teas exam. She had a 4.0 gpa, but the low score on the reading is what probably hurt her. I also scored low (82%) on the first part of the reading test. Some girl brought her cell phone in the testing room and it was ringing quite a bit during the first part of the test. Oh, it was making me soooo mad !! It was really breaking my concentration during a few questions. I did fairly well on the rest of the test though, however, the low score on the reading hurt my overall percentile rating. I'm going to be so disappointed if I don't get in. I know I'm sounding negative, but when I read news like this, it's hard not to be.

hey, i have one question.

which college in tx is easy to be nurse.

one of my friends went to UTA.

she told me that UTA is super hard.

i want to know an easy one.

Trust me.....you don't want an easy school. You must be able to know what you're doing when it comes to saving peoples lives. Also, you have to pass the Nclex exam, and if you go to an easy school you won't be able to pass it. I do not know of any schools that are easy.

Yeah, I've heard all of them are hard programs. With someone's life in my hands, I'll appreciate a hard school!

you ladies have no idea how your postings have helped me. i intend to apply into the program fall of next year or spring of 2008.

can anyone advice me as to the time to take the teas test and send in my application? so far i am doing very well in my prerecs with a’s; i honestly don’t intend to take p.e and humanities. will this affect my application in any way?

thanks for your help in advance and i pray that you all get accepted into the program.

i don't think it will make a huge difference, but i do know that one part of your acceptance is based on how many of your general education classes you have completed. the easiest way to get those two particular classes out of the way is just to do them online. they are both a breeze and could easily be taken over summer school. if you do take the humanities take music appreciation with mr. powell - a snap! good luck!

Another day done! I probably wont stalk too much on Monday because that would mean that the letters were mailed out on Saturday and that probably didn't happen. BUT Tuesday it's on! ROFL

Don't worry. I took the Teas twice and did better on the reading the first time I took it. I had a really hard time reading a map they had on there and it royally screwed my grade up. The reading and English count the least. Don't worry!!!! The countdown continues!! Could letters come this week? MAYBE!!!
