Tarrant County College?

Hello to everyone! I'm brand new to this site, but already finding lots of great information. Are any of you familiar with or applying to Tarrant County College ASN program? I'm in the dreaded wait until the first part of May. I took my TEAS exam last weekend and did really well so I'm hoping for the best! I look forward to getting to know each of you better.

If Twin Pumpkin has an interview in the lastweek of April, that pretty much confirms to me that their not going to send the letters out until probably the end of that week.

I guess it's possible that they are doing the transfer applicants seperate though right?

Hehehe, virtues don't come easy, that's why they are virtues. Lessons in patience really stink. I feel sorry for your mailmen....lol...I have a vision of women all over tarrant county running down the street after their mailman and the mailman throwing his bag up in the air and running for dear life!!!

I agree that patience IS a virtue, it's just not one that I have. :)

I called TCC and was told the letters will go out the first part of May. : (

We'll just have to wait wait wait. Three more weeks ! It will be the longest three weeks of my entire life !!!!!!!!

Oh well, at least I'm CRAZY busy over the next two weeks os that will help a little. Then I had a new worry today. What if I'm put on the alternate list??? The the wait just goes on and on!! :uhoh3:

Hi everyone!

This thread has a lot of useful information in it! But, from my understanding, TCC uses your total GPA from all classes, not just prereqs. Does anyone know if this is true or not?

I read in the nursing information packet that they only consider courses that pertain to the nursing program....that no other course work or degrees are considered during the selection process.

Yep, that's what I thought as well - just the classes that are prerecs for your ADN.

Ya'll are right! Thanks so much for pointing that out.

Originally I was looking into the x-ray program, and when I asked the lady in the health occupations office about admissions to other programs, she said, "All of our health occ programs look at the whole GPA." I took that to mean ALL! I think she meant to say all of them on the NE campus...

So, that's good news to me! Now I can use TCC as my backup (since I'd have to take Chem to apply), but South campus is just so far away from me. I wish they'd expand their nursing program to the NE campus.

Waiting sucks -- good luck on your letters!
