It's finally here: TEST DAY! I take NCLEX tomorrow morning at 8:00 a.m. I graduated a few weeks ago and am ready to close the door on "nursing student" and open the door marked of "registered nurse".
For those getting ready for NCLEX, I learned something valuable today: DO NOT ASSUME YOU KNOW WHERE YOUR TEST SITE IS! My test site is less than 15 minutes from my house (although with traffic and lights it can be closer to 30 minutes, even longer during rush hour.) I'm so glad I did a test drive today! I realized it wasn't exactly where I thought nor was it on the side of the street I thought it was. Granted for some streets that's not a big deal but 1) it's on a major thoroughfare, 2) I'll be heading there during morning traffic, and 3) the direction I came from made making a U-turn a challenge. Once I finally got to the office park, I drove around and around trying to find the correct building -- there are several small buildings that are all part of the office park. After 10 minutes of driving through parking lots, I finally found it. Had this been tomorrow morning, I probably would have been in tears, worried about being late. Now I know exactly where to go so I can plan my morning accordingly. Relief!
I'll post again after my test. I'm most likely NOT going to do "the trick". If it shows the good pop up, I'll be stressed about whether or not it's right and if it takes my credit card I'll be stressed about failing. I've heard my state posts fairly quickly, often earlier than the quick results. If 48 hours have passed and I don't see my name, then I'll pay for QR.
My husband and kids are the only people who know I'm testing. I wanted to keep it to myself until it was over.
I'll let you know!

Of all the NCLEX advise on this forum, you are the first one I have read with this excellent advise! I did the same thing a few days before my exam, and never even thought about it, but it's some of the best advise I have seen.
Best of luck to you, and keep us posted please.

Good luck! I took mine this morning and talk about nerve wracking. I left an hour and half early to give myself time to find the place and gather myself.
I got 75q and it turned off. I couldn't take it so I tried the PVT an hour later which I'm aware isn't good to do until after 24hrs, but I got the good pop-up. Won't believe anything until I see official results, going to be a long 48hrs!!!

Thanks! I feel so much better knowing that I know where to go in the morning. I know a couple of different routes in case there's an issue along the way. And I have a full tank of gas so I don't have to worry about that, either. :)
I'll keep you posted with my results!

Fingers crossed for you! I'm thinking about turning off the question counter so if 75 comes and goes, I won't know. I know tomorrow after the test will be a LONG day since I don't have anything planned. I have a full day Thursday so hopefully the 48 hours will pass quickly!

Can you try to re-register before you take the test?
What state are you taking the test in?
I am in CA and hear that most are getting results on BRN within 48 hours.

Go knock NCLEX dead. I believe you will pass.
Test is done! I finished in 75 questions. 1 EKG, 4 or 5 drag and drop/put in order, a couple of math, 1 exhibit, SEVERAL SATA -- at least 10. I swore I wasn't going to do the PVT trick but by the time I got home I knew I had to try. I got the good pop up so fingers crossed that it's right! I'll let y'all know when it's official!

I'm in NC and I can do quick results in 48 hours. I've heard that the NCBON often posts it before 48 hours so hopefully I won't need to wait for quick results.
Thanks! I think I did. :)

I hope you passed! I'm on here searching for encouraging advise because I take mine in less than a week and I really need to feel confident but I do not. I guess because it's the biggest test of our lives. Were the drag and drop things that we have probably seen? And were the select all that apply straight forward or were they really tricky? ekg really tricky or something we've probably been able to recognize? Obviously I am freaking out haha. Good luck to you Im happy for you that it's over with! I can't wait for mine to be over! Praying you passed!
