Taber's vs. Stedman's?

Published

I'm sure this topic is all over the forums but the ones i've found are outdated. What's your input on which is a better medical dictionary? Also, is there iphone versions for either of them?

Thanks!

We have to use Taber's so I don't know about other ones but I like that one.

I use Tabers and bought the Nursing Central app for my iphone which included Tabers, Davis Drug Guide and a few others as well. It was $160 when I bought it over a year ago and worth every penny!

Nice! In reading my program's policy, I'm not allowed to have my phone in clinicals so I'm not sure if that's a good option for me anymore. :-(

Yep, for our second year we aren't allowed to have phones or iPods or anything else.

Tabers has been the classic for years, and they do regular updated versions. :)

In my program we were advised to purchase Tabers.

We were commanded! LOL :lol2:

I bought the Taber's one. My coworker who has been a nurse for years also recommended Taber's to me. I had asked her about Taber's vs. Mosby though. Not sure about the Stedman one. However, when I was doing research on this a few weeks ago is really seemed that Tabers was the most popular and most recommended.

Good luck!
