I took the NCLEX in 2009 and also had 75 questions. I was absolutely convinced that I failed!! I spent the entire weekend after the test in tears. When I learned that I actually passed, I cried like a baby. Good luck! With 75 questions and your Kaplan prep (I also did Kaplan) you likely passed. ✌ï¸
I feel like it is a better sign that you didn't know any answers for sure. Since the test changes difficulty in response to how well you are doing, I would be more worried if you thought the questions were all super easy because that would mean it was giving you easier questions because you were getting too many incorrect.
Considering your success in school and your Kaplan prep (and your good pop up, although they recommend doing it after 24 hours to be sure) you most likely passed.
I didn't feel like I rocked it, but didn't feel like I blew it either. But some of my classmates felt like you. And they all passed.
Wishing you the best!

Thanks for posting this. I will be taking NCLEX soon and that was really helpful.
I took my NCLEX yesterday...mine also shut off at 75! I honestly don't know how I feel about it. I cried, then I was numb for several hours, I had stomach pains, took a nap, had wine and a huge slice of cheesecake, and went to bed early. I only remember one question (likely because I starting cursing when I read it...it was definitely one of those *** questions) I think I just expected to get more than 75, so when it shut off I was just beside myself.
I'm not messing with that PVT, it's not worth the risk to me...so I'm waiting it out.
It's amazing what this exam does to people...I still feel a little lightheaded 24 hours later.

I am freaking out a little - NCLEX-RN - computer stopped at 75. I felt like I didn't know anything and I feel 100% sure I failed. Got really good scored on Kaplan trainers, was on Dean's list for Nursing school (LPN to RN program)and I have been a LPN for 33 years. Did the PVT an hour later and got the good pop up. Has anyone EVER heard of anyone failing with 75 questions?
