100% sure I failed - stopped at 75

Published

I am freaking out a little - NCLEX-RN - computer stopped at 75. I felt like I didn't know anything and I feel 100% sure I failed. Got really good scored on Kaplan trainers, was on Dean's list for Nursing school (LPN to RN program)and I have been a LPN for 33 years. Did the PVT an hour later and got the good pop up. Has anyone EVER heard of anyone failing with 75 questions?

I used an old gift card with nothing on it...

Most everyone thinks they failed. :). Believe in your self nurse.

I did same when I did over trick. Used gift card with 1.50 on it..., so not risking anything ( finacial)

I failed first try with 75 questions

plastic100% did you do the PVT trick? If so, what was the result?

You can pass or fail at 75. If it shut off at 75 and you're getting the good popup, you stand a very high chance of having actually passed. The system isn't going to shut off at the very minimum without being very certain of you having passed or failed.

Just to be on the safe side, try the PVT again after about 24 hours have passed since you walked out of the building. If you still get the good popup at that point, start looking for license numbers...

It is possible to fail at 75 questions but you have to be so far below the passing line that there's no way you could pass if you answered another 190 questions. I think it's more likely to pass if you end at 75 questions than fail.

My test shut off at 75 and I was %100 certain that I failed. I was wrong. Hopefully you are wrong too.

You got this! I answered 230 questions and was so depressed thinking I had failed. Much to my surprise I passed on the first attempt. I did well in school, but almost walked away from the testing center after I got to 220 questions. I answered a few more questions and the test shut off. Wow! I was depressed and worried for NOTHING! Happy endings are the best! Good luck to ya! Let us know the outcome.

For those of us with the NCLEX ahead of us, what's 'the good pop-up'?

So Everyone - thank you for all of your support and information. It kept me sane till today when I foundout that I did pass!!!!!!
