K, 6 days til i sit for nclex. im legit going crazy. im doing like 300+ questions a day and ready to rip my own head off. i have been taking breaks in btween and days off from studying but im losing it. help meee

the worst part is im nervous because the highest ive gotten on questions (kaplan stuff) is 64%... i mean ughhh. i want a 65-70 and its not happening and i really dont want to fail this stupid test ::crys::

lol

First of, try to calm down as soon as possible cause any unwanted anxiety can steer you away from your focus. Deal with your fear and get down to business.

Low to high 60s is a good indicator that you're doing well cause remember this isn't like nursing school when 80's and 90's are frequent. The most important thing is that you review your questions whether right or wrong and reread any topic you feel you're lacking. Kaplan also tells you the weak areas you need to cover and that's the best things you can study in your last few days of review.

Kaplan also suggests you not doing 300 questions a day simply because it's too much material for you to remember. Do 150 questions max and more during the days when you take your question trainers.

Most of us here are well aware of your anxiety so you are definitely not alone. Do not let your scores dictate whether or not you can pass but let your confidence in yourself and your fate be the reason why. Good luck on your final days of review and if I can suggest one thing do not read or search for (false) reassurance, it's non-therapeutic :).

i do feel a bit better seeing people in my cohort passing , & some people who are less than smart passing as well lol.

im not looking for false reassurance. i just want to know im not alone in my insanity hahah

Ditto!!!! I take my test in 4 days. I keep going from confident to feeling I don't know ****. I don't even think I can study anymore my anxiety level is so high. Doing questions is making it almost worse for me...so i'm just studying the allnurses study guide to boost my confidence lol. I feel you...I don't want to fail cuz that would wreck my whole summer :/ ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh i wanna pass this damn test

I understand that it's mind wrecking and we need all the support we can during these times. Always remember that nothing good ever comes easy so work hard for your dream!

Just woke up from a nightmare that I didn't pass . Seriously who has nightmares about crap like this

I am taking it in July and I am super nervous too! So I feel your anxiety!!! But maybe try to do no more than the 150 questions and really focus on reading the rationales and understanding the concepts! Your brain can only absorb sooooo much in one day! You should be fine. And as for Kaplan - 60's on the QBank and QT6 and 7 is the goal! So you are doing what you should! If you figure that the passing line is about 50% for NCLEX - and you obviously want to be above that... as long as you are getting in the 60's on Kaplan you should have a nice little cushion!!! Good luck!:loveya:

Dude. You, of all people, will be fine. Practice SATAs, remember to answer them as t/f, and read carefully so you don't answer a "needs more education" as "understands correctly". Always my downfall in class tests.

Pneumothorax,

I take my test in about a week. I feel your pain. Seemingly out of the blue, I will get palpitations and shortness of breath- realize I'm breathing like a kook.

I vacillate from feeling incredibly ready and prepared to complete freak-out, omg why did I choose nursing, fake my own death and leave the country mode.

Luckily these fits of anxiety are fleeting and end with me sometimes crying but always at the end laughing at myself.

You will be ok. I will be ok. We just gotta learn to chill the **** out!

For me the worst anxiety was the unknown - what the test center looked like, would i have the right ID, etc. Once i got in there and started answering questions i was relieved that it was finally time to brain dump. Positive self talk is HUGE in helping you succeed, you have worked hard to get where you are and it will pay off!!! The questions reminded me so much of kaplan and ATI that it relieved anxiety during the test also. Youll do awesome! Just read each question like its your only question (carefully) and youll be great!
