Hi everyone,
I've started this thread so we can discuss and share our experiences applying to SUNY's ABSN program for 2020. This is my second time applying. I waited till the very last day of the deadline to submit my application last year (I knowww) since I had taken the TEAS and had just gotten the results. However, I've already submitted my application for the upcoming year and hope to get a call for an interview. Looking forward to chatting with you all.
Sidenote: I really like the upgrade they did to the online application. So much more user-friendly.

Does anyone know how many spots are still left? Is there still hope for me?
Pre-req GPA: 3.69
Science GPA: 3.67
Cumulative GPA: 3.35 (don't know how they calculated this, my own calculation says its a 3.41)
TEAS
- Reading: 97.9%
- Math: 100%
- Science: 76.6% : took this before I finished APII bc they said the last date to take it was Nov 30, and then they extended the deadline to Jan 30 after I already took the TEAS >=(
- CUMULATIVE: 86% (96th percentile)
Sidenote: I just finished my APII class today (Feb 24) and my Dev Psych will finish in the next week. I wonder if having 2 outstanding pre-reqs disqualified me? Or was it my low cum GPA (I graduated undergrad 13 years ago with a degree in liberal arts, no sciences)
I also haven't received an interview request and have already applied to some other programs. To be fair, my application was only forward to the program on Jan. 30 but I don't want to take any chances. But I think they received way more applications this round than usual because they extended the deadline several times. So we should try to remain hopeful but realistic.

Murse Matcha to the rescue! For those accepted/entering the program in the summer, I'm happy for whomever gets him as a student mentor. He's a good one!
