Hi everyone,
I've started this thread so we can discuss and share our experiences applying to SUNY's ABSN program for 2020. This is my second time applying. I waited till the very last day of the deadline to submit my application last year (I knowww) since I had taken the TEAS and had just gotten the results. However, I've already submitted my application for the upcoming year and hope to get a call for an interview. Looking forward to chatting with you all.
Sidenote: I really like the upgrade they did to the online application. So much more user-friendly.
Hi everyone!
So I haven’t been active here but your comments were super helpful when preparing for the interview.
I sent in my application during the Nov 30 deadline and finally received a call last Tues 2/4 for an interview on 2/5. The last minute call made me super nervous but I just received my acceptance letter about an hour ago!
Cum GPA: 3.09
Pre-Req GPA: 3.86
TEAS: Reading: 93.6 Math: 93.8 Science: 80.9 (Was really mad about this)
I am super excited to be joining those already accepted!

I had all the major science pre-reqs done. I am just missing Sociology and a 2nd English course. I am taking both online and checked with the program to make sure this was ok.

Same! My low cum GPA is due to the first years of undergrad. I was terrified of applying for nursing schools because of this, and just made sure to get As in all my pre-requisite courses while trying to show that I was successfully juggling school, full-time work, and the pursuit of my passions. I applied hoping a program could see that and I think my cumulative efforts worked!
