Hi everyone,
I've started this thread so we can discuss and share our experiences applying to SUNY's ABSN program for 2020. This is my second time applying. I waited till the very last day of the deadline to submit my application last year (I knowww) since I had taken the TEAS and had just gotten the results. However, I've already submitted my application for the upcoming year and hope to get a call for an interview. Looking forward to chatting with you all.
Sidenote: I really like the upgrade they did to the online application. So much more user-friendly.

At the beginning of Jan I emailed to check in about the checklist, because it was complete, they had checked off that they had received my fall grades, and yet there was still this one unchecked action item that came from an original mistake of theirs, which I was worried hadn't been fully resolved on their end. After emailing about it, they sent me a pretty non-response response (IE your app is still under admissions office review, without acknowledging that *there might be a mistake*). I finally decided to call and am glad I did because it was cleared up an hour afterward and my application was forwarded to program review.
I'm imagining everyone who hasn't heard anything about an interview is in the same "program review" phase that I just entered so I'm also not feeling too hopeful! But honestly who knows whats going on. Who knowsssssss .......
I just got an email yesterday afternoon saying that my application has been forwarded to the program for review. That really took 2 months!

That tracks with my experience. I submitted my application in late September, and received an email that the application was forwarded to the program in late November. I had an interview in December, and an offer two weeks later, which I accepted.

Mine took 3 months lol. Submitted late October and was forwarded to program Jan 23. I haven't heard from them since.
hey! just heard from them too. I was also placed on a waitlist. I don’t know but from reading other reviews it seems like a lot of people who were waitlisted ended up being excepted but it was just very last minute due to people dropping out or not excepting their place in time. But I’ve heard cases where it’s been like weeks, sometimes even days before the program starts. still though congrats on the next step!
